- Crafting is different.
- grindier but less random.
- Upgrades are tidier.
Puzzles and quickhacks are the same.
Endgame perks are possible(xray-ping) much earlier - if you specialize to craft them up.
Netrunning was the "no guns and bullet" build now that is removed it is merely the "debuff the enemy slightly before combat" build.
- either sneak-snap (before camo made it broken)
- or remote-cam-contagion-cyberpsycho chaos.
Only in buildings/theft would I resort to silencers.
Basically the "killing everyone by looking at them with zero cost or danger" is limited to only a few targets at a time before you have to start planning things out or paying for it in some way.
RAM costs are through the roof, significantly higher Perk requirement, cyberdecks and quickhacks are now locked behind TIers, enemies are tankier due to scaling, Trace will start immediately and no longer requires an enemy Netrunner to be present.
So yeah, it's "more of a challenge" due to the fact that you're nerfed beyond all usefulness.
Pure Netrunning is no longer a thing now, you'll either need to pair it with Smart Weapons, Monowires, or other damage sources.
I've been running almost a purely netrunning build, and I'm just walking into buildings and burning people's brains right from the beginning. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥' love it.
I've thrown some monowire in there now and then, but only for fun and time saving, not because it was necessary.
It makes stealth netrunning impossible. Netrunner builds have been nerfed to the point where there's just no reason to invest into it and instead just play the game like you would play call'o'dudy.
Overclocking will let you go hog wild and only use Hacks, but without proper Health Regen you will quickly run out of steam.
