2.0 is full of so many questionable changes.
edit: DISCLAIMER. I am not trying to take away from the devs or CDPR as a whole for the efforts they've made in this update. However I do think that I am very allowed to criticize some changes in the game without it being seen as mindlessly spewing hate. So I ask you respectfully do the same, or don't even bother to comment at all if you can't. CDPR has done a great job with their work in updating the game, and providing more content / and playability when they didn't have to at all. Now that that's out of the way, you can continue reading on.

This update has so many questionable, and needless changes that overall just make the game more frustrating than it's ever been.

The content the update adds is great, and so are the perk redesigns and skill trees. The vehicle combat is amazing, and so is the new cyber-ware system. I'm glad that clothing is no longer the armor in the game. The police rework is nothing other than spectacular. But everything else? NO.

Grenade limitation? Why? I get the healing one, that makes sense. When was throwing grenades OP? I much preferred the old system over the new one we have.

Mods on weapons being permanent? So much for having the option to change anything based on your build, or wanting to change things up.

No longer being able to upgrade your weapons unless it's iconic is just outright ridiculous. It removes the ability to have the highest damage with multiple weapons, and freedom of having and using those weapons making them being viable. They are no longer viable. I do not understand this change. There are only so many iconic weapons in the game.

No more clothing loot dropped from enemies? That's an obvious self explainable one. It was cool running around and killing a certain gang, or military then getting a clothing piece dropped from them to add to your wardrobe. Now that has been removed from the game entirely.

Enemies that level with you? On paper that seems like a good thing, you get better loot, and it makes combat more difficult. But "difficult" could be debated. All it's done is make enemies more bullet spongy, and annoying to fight. Even when fully spec'd out, the fights just go on forever now as compared to the previous version. It's just a slow long drag full of health-bars. Especially if you play on a higher difficulty. It's so much more bullet spongy than it's ever been through the whole history of this game.

It feels like most of the stuff in this update were changed just for the sake of it being changed, not to improve anything. It's like they implemented the opposite of Quality of life things.

With each update you're forced to choose between one thing or the other. Why do we need to trade things for other features? Why can't we have them all?

The amount of overwhelming nerfs being done to the game, with only a small amount of slight buffs is just crazy. The balancing is wack, and the limitations in 2.0 just makes the game less fun than it used to be.

I was excited for the update, but after watching and seeing all of these changes, I don't want to play it anymore. This update is a joke and horrendous on the balancing side. Playing it feels like it was made to be anti-fun and to just annoy the player in any way possible they could make doing so. I was expecting some nerfs, but didn't expect it to be in this sort of way.

So much for the freedom of an RPG, playing how you want to play. Instead now you only play how the devs want you to play.

It really was not unless you had tons of grenades that you worked to made, and spec'd out into the engineer tree. Otherwise by that statement, everything was OP. But you're supposed to be "OP" (if you can even call it that) when you have your build completely maxed out and leveled, nor did it make any other build irrelevant. If it were OP it would have.

This isn't a multiplayer PVP game.

Not really. Just spam standard nades without any skills on them, everything will explode, enemies cant stand up to fight...imo its OP and i think thats hy the Devs nerfed it.

Soon enough you'd run out of grenades and it wouldn't be effective anymore. It was a waste to spam them because it wasn't worth the return of what you'd get from them. Higher damage grenades were already rare enough, and highly costly to make. Which also meant you had to spec into the crafting tree as well.

That's how it isn't OP. If you made your build into it, then you were deserving of such damage. But even then it was mediocre. There were so many more builds that were way more effective than spamming nades, that required no crafting, nor loss when doing so. It wasn't OP.

Now they've been so nerfed that they're almost useless. On top of enemies being more tanky because they scale with you.

Perfectly calm. Just voicing valid criticism.

can't wait for the stamina-per-shot to be modded. that was unnecessary tbh.
why use stamina for shooting when you're also using it for movement and melee?
why reinvent the wheel of shooting when it spins just fine is beyond me

Yep that too. I don't get that part. For heavy weapons maybe only? Because they're heavy. But gorilla arms should take that nerf away if you're using them. I don't get it. They just want to make the game unnecessarily "difficult" for no reason what so ever, or change things just to do so. When all it does is just add annoyances that shouldn't have been there to begin with.

Bruh you're in game RIGHT NOW

Content in the update is great, but it's overshadowed by trash bullet sponge enemies. The legendary V with the best cyberware and gear in the city has to 5-8 shot street gang trash in the head, who can drop you in half as many hits. This was playtested in an echochamber, if at all.

I played the game in 2021 and enjoyed my time with it. After playing 2 hours of 2.0 I don't want to continue playing.

I even refunded Phantom Liberty. I'll come back to the game at some point. But for now, I'm done.

Correct- a needless, stupid change. Stamina per shot, lmao, in what video game ever

So i'm not allowed to play a game and test things out when an update comes out? Quite the interesting logic you've got there.

Yeah. It seems like the enemies can scale with you, but in fact scale OVER you. They're always 1-2 shotting you, when in the past it seemed more like a fair fight. Now it feels like you do 2.0x damage while they do x5 damage. And yes, I did change my cyberware and optimize it to fit the update.
