Ray reconstruction (Confusion) ?
I have ray reconstruction option available even without path tracing. Anyone else? For Many it's greyed out.
Nvidia have said they will add support for other Rt modes later, So I don't think it's working.

toggle path tracing, then apply, then reconstruction should be toggleable. You also need the nvidia driver that released yesterday that added DLSS 3.5 support to cyberpunk if you haven't got it yet.

I saw it happen with a friend, but mine got glitched now not turning on with path tracing, and his RR got glitched aswell just like mine just later not turning on with path tracing, otherwise I think the game is using RR with rasterization aswell, making the game very beautiful looking even rasterized, can't confirm the RR is denoising the rasterization, but the way its glitched it seems like it.

Nvidia is making such a huge effort recently to make sure their customers get every possible feature for their cards that i decided to get myself an AMD GPU next time i upgrade.

It is just embarrassing that AMD is giving RTX owners Frame Generation. A feature that is already ancient on televisions.

Could not even deliver a driver that had working Ray Reconstruction for 20 and 30 series.

I have the latest driver. And it got greyed out for me after writing this post. Not sure what's going on.

Happened with me as well. Greyed out now. Denoising is specifically for Ray tracing, not for plain rasterization. But yeah the image quality looks cleaner. Or may be we are having a placebo effect.

Well it is technically there but yeah path tracing wont be possible for most except 3080-90 maybe. I think frame gen is possible on Ampere & Turing, they have locked it on a software level. Maybe FSR 3 (if it's good enough) can push Nvidia to do this. It is an important tech.

cdpr locked it behind path tracing (full ray tracing) in cyberpunk 2077 so you need to enable that before you can enable 3.5.

I saw someone post this in another thread: https://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2023/38/4/1695306559-image.png

I have the latest Nvidiadriver, updated the game and all but my RR is also greyed out

No you are very wrong... It will come but at a later date, look at my previous post

Ray reconstruction is supported on all nvidia cards smart guy, it's really a shame you can't deliver a post that has any shred of intelligence behind it.
Ray reconstruction is only supported by RTX cards, not all nvidia cards. still need a 4000 series for frame generation.

he's not wrong though, Currently it's only available when path tracing is on. They are adding it to the other RT modes later.

Ray reconstruction applies to both path tracing and ray tracing when DLSS is turned on. It is only supported by newer nvidia drivers on newer cards. I am on an RTX 4000 series card but still on 535.x drivers (for reasons) so ray reconstruction option is grayed out for me, but path tracing is available. This was in the patch notes. That is probably what is going on with your friend.
