I played fine with HDR for around 5-6 hours, during Arasaka Tower the HDR started causing black screen flickering. I turned off HDR and no problems since. Still broken.

From what I understand the black levels are out of whack and HDR can lead to a washed out image rather than the high dynamic range that you would expect. Also the curve center setting in HDR settings doesn't do anything.

In my case, HDR is off, I can't turn it on, and I still get the issue.

6.14.2024 and the issue still is apparent. I have a 4080s and a 7800x3d with 32 of ddr5. HDR settings were working completly fine all the way up till the arasaka tower point as well. since then HDR settings have caused a non stop either black screen or flickering black screen. Turned HDR off and haven't had an issue since.

Weird. I use HDR and it looks fine to me. Try using RTX HDR if you have an nvidia RTX card.

You sure it's not a problem with your monitor have you tried HDR in any other game since you started getting the issue?

HDR is this game looks really good have to play around with the settings a bit but once it's working it looks amazing.

It looking good and it functioning as intended are not the same thing. As someone else pointed out, the issue with Kompeki Plaza has existed since release, and is apparently never getting fixed.

Strangely, I played through The Heist just fine a week ago, but went back to redo it because I forgot to grab the Iguana Egg. Again, everything seemed fine, until Jackie and I jumped off the ledge. After that, everything went black; and strangely, the bug retroactively affected earlier save points in the penthouse suite that had previously worked fine; I even tried reloading back to before the Plaza was put on Alert but it occurs every time now; unless I disable HDR.

It's a very strange bug, possibly why they've been unable to fix it.

Update: The issue leaves during the car ride, but returns when I enter the No-Tell Motel.
