Net Runner is Unplayable
Hacks are too expensive. Hacks no longer spread. Hacks reveal you quickly.

And this is after plowing my points into Intelligence perks. I'm struggling to see how hacks are useful in this new game. Am I missing something?

I've made the netrunner build work using my previous endgame save. As many of you have pointed out, the trick is to invest in health/regen and use quick hacks that sync well together.

All I really needed was 15 body, 20 intelligence, and 4 in the other categories. I have most intel perks, and the center tree of body, with a few technical perks for the medic items.

Cyberware is Raven, 2nd heart, and blood pump. My go to quick hacks are:
  • sonic shock to prevent tracking, if I feel the need.
  • cyberware malfunction, then short circuit for light knockout
  • contagion, then overheat (using queue) to deal with groups

Tips: Don't skimp out on smart weapons. It's free RAM with the right perks. Some of the more prevalent quickhacks are too expensive; don't use them. Use overclocking frequently, and don't forget to heal for more instant RAM.

You absolutly have to use overclocking to make it work. It's just not a viable option with overclocking.

32 RAM for Memory Wipe? All the RAM costs are too high and the Ram Recovery out of combat is sooo godamn slow. Also the Movement Speed droped hard!

I just spent some time resetting up my netrunner and didn't find the changes too bad with the exception of the ram regen/overclock cd. Taking out even moderately sized groups is pretty easy to do so long as you obey the new mechanics of using covert quickhacks in there to boost damage, the real problem I have is when I'm going to the next group.

It certainly isn't the insane hide in a corner, get into the camera network and wipe out a building it was before but if they can just tweak the downtime between groups of enemies I think it'll end up feeling really good

If I need to buy DLC to make an entire perk tree functional in a single player game, I'm getting ripped off.

100% right. It's dead now. Thanks to everyone who complained that it was imbalanced.

RAM costs are waaaaaaay too high, overclock needs to just not have a cooldown. Playing on very hard and honestly considering dropping to hard. Ive found the best way to get RAM is monowire finishers...

Why? I mean, it's nonsense.

Back in 2019, Netrunner was positioned by CDPR as a class that you could complete the whole game without a single shot lol. Now it's simply impossible.
