2.0 Frame generation causes screen tear and...
..disables vsync (greyed out, so cant change).

So im getting 80 FPS on a 60 FPS monitor.

But massive screen tearing.

Limiting FPS does limit FPS bust still has the screen tearing.

Turning on VSYNC in control panel limits FPS & removed screen tearing, BUT adds massive mouse lag, feels like the camera is moving in slow mo when im moving around or turning the camera.

So solution is to disable frame generation right? Nope if I do that i go down to 45 fps.

So anyone have a good solution?

I'm not experiencing any additional perceived mouse lag with V-Sync set to "on" in the Nvidia Control Panel

For me using VSync On on Nvidia control panel and using frame generation ingame makes the frame rate kind of slo-mo

Same here. New 4080 so I thought I don't understand something...but it looks like in any configuration I am unable to play with frame generation because of serious lag and nvdia reflex don't work with frame generation.

Do you guys have a gsync monitor?

Frame generation does not work with v-sync as far as I remember from their presentations.

It is basically either / or.
So if your screen can't do real adaptive stuff, you are out of luck.

Been thinking of buying a new screen for this very reason. Screen tearing is pretty annoying, but frame generation saves so much heat coming from the GPU, that I always prefer to turn it on, even tho I am running a 4090. Guess getting a screen to match the rest of my PC is the last step I should actually take lol

Ya'll need gsync.

Ok didn't knew it need gsync because of playing on 4k tv that don't have it. Funny though frame generation work fine in any other game :p

It does not.
FG on --> V-Sync off --> Tearing on.

That is a technical hurdle no game can overcome by some random magic.

Ok maybe I am mistaking something cause 4th gen GeForce I have from over a week. But I'm almost sure that I have been playing other game or two where I was able to turn on vsync, reflex boost and frame generation(could be forced), or maybe it was just reflex boost and FG but screen tearing was not present in that game. Will check it on weekend to be sure.

VSync could never be enabled in menu when Reflex is enabled. You have to force it via drivers.

That was fixed back in November.
