So the Ray Reconstruction only works for Path Tracing, something that only a fragment of PC player can enable ?
Maybe I missed the info before, but I just looked the CP2077 2.0 patch note and saw this

Added support for NVIDIA DLSS 3.5, which introduces DLSS Ray Reconstruction, a feature that improves the quality of Ray Traced effects. A GeForce RTX graphics card is required. The option is available in Settings → Graphics in the NVIDIA DLSS section. DLSS 3.5 is only available if Path Tracing is turned on.

So if we can't use Path Tracing (meaning everyone who don't own a 40xx series) we're screwed again and can't use the RR ? I don't understand why they can't use this tech' for the "normal" RT, is there an explanation behind it ? Me and my 3080 are kinda bummed right now. :(

Wait, DLSS 3.5 only works with path-tracing? The reflections seem like they look way better than they used to with just normal ray-tracing and dlss. Am I imagining things?

I'm afraid you are.

But Ray Reconstruction will in fact arrive for the BASE RT, just in a later date -> https://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2023/38/4/1695306559-image.png

Oh ok. So we wait. Shame, was hoping for a better image quality on DLSS performance with standard Ray Tracing.

For now it looks like it can only be activated with path tracing.
Tested it in 1440p with 3080 10GB and Ryzen 7 5800X, and DLSS balanced, I only tried the benchmark for now (because I didn't have time for more) and i'm impressed, i'm at an average of 50 fps , sometimes i have 60fps, sometimes 45 depending of the scene. All others settings are at max. It's freaking beautiful.
Without it I'm more at 25/30fps average on the same conditions.
I hope the activation in standard RT will come fast.

This is exactly what i just complained on cyberpunk 2.0 update discuss...

It was suppoussed to be for all rtx, that ray reconstruction was for all rtx.
And now it comes out that you need at least a 3090 or 8gb vram, or rtx 40 series, i mean wtf?

All of that is on nvidia pages! Saying "for all rtx gpu", "rtx 20 30 40 series".

may get patched in at a later date and or nvidia drivers need an update for other cards than 40 series

Tried it and wasn't that impressed. Went back to the good old regular RT with my own custom Reshade preset.

Strange, how did you activate pathtracing when you have an 3080? I have roamed the internet for some solution to activate it on my 3080 woth no luck

Same, 3.5 adds nothing but pad performance. As soon as you enable path tracing the performance tanks. Plus adds nothing over normal DLSS.

RR seems good, but I get weird flashing on some objects, like wheel hubs, unless I turn off Frame Gen. It was pretty blurry with both on as well.

You're missing the point. We can enable it on 30x series cards, but only with path tracing. Nvidia told us that was not the case.

Yeah I tried it and had to put DLSS on performance to even get to 60fps everything maxed out on 1440p, ingame not benchmark, but the game keeps crashing after a while. I have a i9 11900k and 32gb ram so there isn't much difference between our systems I guess

objectively not true, you can see the comparisons for the differences.
Path tracing anything you need a fast system, if you don't have it forget it
