For people complaining about the new system requirements, YOU'RE FINE.
If you're on or around the system requirements before the new ones were revealed, you are fine. You will get the same performance you already received. The reason there is new requirements suddenly is because as PC technology develops, so do the recommendations from the developers. If you want a more smooth experience you will find it with newer and better technology. That is it.

You don't need an SSD (also big tip for SSD users, turn on slow HDD mode anyways, helps with hitches and microstutters)

You don't need the actual recommendations.

Another thing is that your feedback about performance issues will likely be ignored if you're not on or above at least their recommended minimum. Which can save on resources cost towards tech support.

If you already receive 60fps, you won't suddenly only get 30fps when the new update drops.

This isn't the old days of the mid 2000's where games went from 32bit to 64bit and you genuinely had to worry about not being on a 64bit processor.

No, panic. It's way funnier.

Can you talk about it? "You don't need an SSD (also big tip for SSD users, turn on slow HDD mode anyways, helps with hitches and microstutters)"

Gime a light, can help me in Starfield at PL launch :)
Slow HDD Mode will force the game to prioritize loading the world above the rest of the game, which means longer loading screens but less popin, stuttering, culling calls, etc. It helps with a lot of background scripting you wont see but can make the game play more smoothe. If you're on a SSD, you already have the benefit of short load times so turning on
slow hdd mode will only benefit you with no drawbacks.

It's even better if you use a M.2 SSD such as myself. My load times are very short. Slow HDD Mode only extends the load time by .4 seconds lol

People really expect to keep their 10 yo PC forever, they're probably fine for low -30fps but one day it will be outdated.
I think it's the shift from 4 vram to 6 that has so many worried....

Even that won't change much. VRAM doesn't matter as much as people would hope. It can help alleviate issues if the game uses too much vram for your card, but CP2077 on the lowest settings @ 1080p if I recall uses just over 4GB's of vram. Going over a tiny amount won't really affect the performance. Like my RTX 3060TI has 8GB's of VRAM, if I play a game that goes over by around .6GB's, I won't have any issues, hell even a whole GB over doesn't really affect anything.

Only time VRAM actually matters is if the GPU is too slow to even use the VRAM or the game is dastardly unoptimized and uses a ♥♥♥♥ load of VRAM that goes well over the cards VRAM limitations.

Ah, nvm, its a CP tech, we can change on settings of the game.
Yeah it's a in-game setting, sorry mate, no using it in other games. Though if you want to fix issues like that on other games just get faster ram, a faster cpu capable of running higher ram speeds or getting a M.2 NVME SSD at Gen3 or Gen4. You will notice significant improvements right away.

I have a i7 10700K; RTX 4070 and 32GB of RAM, and I honestly think they are just making sure people will not talk about performance issues if they are under the recommanded specs.

The game runs really good on my PC at 90fps with RT Overdrive on, and we still have DLSS 3.0, not 3.5. I don't see why I would suddenly need to upgrade my CPU by two generations to keep up with it.

I remember a KOEI Tecmo game, I think it was the first Attack on Titan on PC, which had ridiculous system requirements at the time and they changed them after, but with a really bad CPU and my 1060, it ran smoothly.

If this is like Starfield, you will need an SSD or you will get stutters and freezes because of bottlenecking.

It's not the case at all!

Um, no. The requirements have changed. Not that complicated.

What dlss settings do you use?

I did hear feedback from reviewers that the DLC area had low fps and hard framedrops whereas the 'old' world didn't
I just downloaded the game for the first time. I have the gtx 1650 max q so very lowend, but the performance is very good. I'm getting 40-50 fps with everything at high.

I'm a little confused on the dynamic resolution, and the amd and intel options. I'm playing on 1080p with none of the current gen bells and whistles, ie raytracing. I don't have the dlss option because my card is a gtx...What is the best combo for me?
