Divided we Stand assault rifle mission

Hi, I did the Stadium Love mission where I'm supposed to receive a legendary Divided we Stand assault rifle, once I win the shooting competition, I'm given this rifle, before picking it up, I can see the rifle is tier 5+, which is really good, has a lot of damage, however, once I pick it up, it downgrades to tier 4+. Why is that?

It's likely due to your character's level, might be a quirk of the changes made in 2.0. What level are you? I think you have to be lvl 50-ish for stuff you pick up to be given to you as tier 5.

I'm level 30, so sad that I was supposed to receive a tier 5+ from the mission but only got a 4+... now the problem is that it takes loads of components to be able to upgrade it..

All iconic weapons are shown as legendary (gold icon), this makes it easier for us to spot it. However once you pick it up, it will scale down to your current level. Including its crafting spec
