question about 1.63 legacy patch
Will this option stay? For me this is incredible important as i tried 2.0 and dont like the new gameplay at all (horrible skill trees / no breach / etc......). To the point where i simply wont play it. Thankfully 1.63 is still playable as a legacy patch beta. Will it stay available? Even with ongoing patches?

I am fine if no new things get added for it as long as i can keep the old gamplay. If however the option to play 1.63 will go away it makes no longer sense to keep playing the game right now if.

Can any devs confirm that 1.63 will stay as option but not further supportet?

Thats wild, 2.0 has brought this game to life for me and it seems the majority of people. To each their own though.

I am planning a fresh playthrough but i am concerned that the version 1.63 will vanish.

yep i fully understand and respect that but for me its more about tactical gameplay instead of pew pew. I hate pew pew gameplay. ANd Netrunning is dead with 2.0 from a tactical perspective

Yup, definitely more CoD style game now than RPG Shooter; especially with the weird gimmicky skills like "Dash" and "Air-Strike".. could care less about those.

are you sure? It would be amazing even if it means i cant buy Phantom liberty. Would love if some of the devs or moderators could confirm
THis game is sooo cool and i would cry if they take it away.

PL will never be compatible with 1.63.. 2.0 changed the main game to be designed around the DLC and not the other way around, so too many game breaking things wouldn't hash out.

Fantastic world, good story, loot's of nice sidequests.
You can easely spend hundred hours in one playtrough.
A great game, it's still great, but for me version 1,63 is better.
I reverted back to 1.63 and will playing it until things improve.

It'll be a $100 retro patch in 2035.

Yep me too but i highly doubt things will improve. They clearly had a vision to go away with RPG and make it even more of a Action game. I was allready dissapointed at release that it was so action focused and less tactic and rpg compared to witcher3. But the story and world is fantastic and it sucked me in. But with the action focused gamplay they did with liberty they lost me and alot of RPG fans. Dont know if it can be called a RPG anymore

I enjoyed the old tree too. Have not played 2.0 yet (waiting for the game to get a few more patches) but I have to admit I am a bit on the fence with this. Guess you can't play the dlc with 1.63?

Nope, can't play DLC with 1.63 and it will never happen because 2.0 was adapted for the DLC.. not the other way around (because that literally would have made more sense).

I don't really get this mentality. Netrunning is far from dead. If anything, You have to be MORE tactical in 2.0 especially if you're netrunning.

I've always been a netrunner/techie. Before 2.0 Netrunning was broken OP. With my netwatch deck I could flatline a whole group of enemies before they even saw me ezpz. Sometimes I got so bored being OP I'd walk around and detonate grenades in crowds just for a giggle.

Now netrunning actually feels more realistic. If you're upset about the tracking, just use system reset and sonic shock, combine that with stealth attacks and you're fine. Be tactical about it.

Everyone has preferences and you're entitled to play your singleplayer purchase however you like, But netrunning being dead in 2.0? Farthest thing from the truth. I feel like the people that say this are just upset they can't hide behind a crate and flatline everything in a 20 mile radius with a simple contagion click.

you use stealth? You can now walz in and spam Quickhacks all over even if you run out of memory just keep spamming with health. There is no breach anymore so you dont have to think WHEN to use breach on longer missions. There is no need for tactical approach you can just walz in quickhack everything to death and walks away slowmo with explosions behind you. THAT is the new gameplay! Even on hard...... oh and dont forget scaling of enemys wich took away ALL challenge at all.

i fully accept that this type of gameplay is cool for even a majority of players. But for some of us this is the epitome of Boredom.
