So are monowires still considered blades for perks?
Pretty straight forward. With 2.0 Phantom Liberty, are monowire's still considered blades for perk investment? Previously the game's tool tips would clearly indicate it impacted monowire as well, but I don't see any notices anywhere that confirm/deny this. So, anyone know?

You meant Mantis ? if so, then yes, those are considered blades, perk effects affect those etc. Monowire is centainly not a blade :bigjohn:

The monowire is no longer considered a blade. I believe its a tech weapon now like the projectile launcher.

Yes it's a tech weapon since some skills bond to the monowire are located in the Tech skill tree.

No I mean monowires, which were listed in the game, prior to Phantom Liberty and the perk overhaul as blades when it came to the various perks. You know for things like triggering Cold Blood when using a blade attack, or increased chance to cause bleeding with blades, etc. The game very clearly stated that monowires were considered blades given they are a slashing weapon. Now it doesn't, but that doesn't mean they don't still count. So now that I have clarified, do you know about monowires? I don't care about mantis blades, I'm not using those.

Tech weapon huh? I haven't really looked at those perks much in engineering, do any of them sound like something that would apply to monowires though? I assumed, given the root icon for that perk cluster was a tech gun, that they were all gun related perks.

yeah i figured it out, you were right. last time i played, it used to scale with body, so i got confused, lol. but yeah, as others pointed out, the bonuses for monowire are in the tech tree now.

Ooppsie sorry just went back to the skill tree. My bad.
It's and " intelligence bond " weapon. The skill bond ot the monowire is in the center after you get 15 perk points in intelligence and with each Monowire hit you get 0,5 RAM back ( or 1 RAM if target is under the effects of a hack).
It's OP to reload your ram fast so the Monowire is also a comfy situational weapon.
