How EXACTLY does Shotgun Damage work?

Like if a shotgun does 100 Damage and fires 6 Pellets, is it 100 per pellet? Or 100 divided by 6? Is it the same for DumDum's revolver?

What about for guns like Sovereign or Brick's new Tech Shotgun that fire both barrels at the same time? Is the damage on the Stat menu showing me the damage of both barrels or just one barrel(Meaning the actual damage is double what's shown)

I believe its per all the pelets, not each one

Listed damage is the total of all pellets. Double barrels that fire both barrels should still be listing for one shell, but I'm not certain of that.
