Report a translation problem
It's literally as simple as positioning yourself/cursor in a way that only highlights the shard/loot.. I've never had a problem getting around this whatsoever personally.
To be fair, if you're using a controller, it might be harder to get the degrees of angles with a KB+M
There's a lot of bad placements in the game, but through sheer persistence I've always managed to find an angle.
Even when I'm facing 180 from the shopkeeper the dialogue is still there.
