2.0.1 makes a terrible performance, the game will lag almost all the time
the game will lag every fking second and totally messed up the gameplay. the framerate is pretty high (about 80~100)
there is definately no my computer issue, cause every other game does not have this problem. 4090laptop+64gmem+13900h+ssd is definately enough. and with or without raytracing, the lagging will always happen in 2.0.1, while in 2.0 and before it almost never happens.
plz fix this and plz leave this game alone. every time you fixed a little dam thing and you will mess up a lot other. plz leave it to we players and modders, you developers just take my money and go away ok?

Curious if you've got mods installed because I was getting the same issue from CET actually. Once I removed it and verified my files all the lag went away.

no mods at all, a fresh new game installed on a fresh new computer.

get a desktop, laptop 4090 is nothing like a real 4090, laptops are prone to heat throttling on GPU and CPU.
its easy to blame developers for hardware and user issues.

It's true, laptops are kinda meh for gaming compared to desktops.
And they indeed tend to build up way too much heat, throttling stuff down.

But still, with such laptop hardware it shouldn't lag/stutter.

Make sure windows powerplan is set to max performance.
Make sure no Eco mode is selected in MSI Afterburner, Dragon Center or similar software.
Make sure you play with the power cable plugged in, don't play without it.

I'm not sure the OP deserves much help, as rather than understand that MOST people don't have this issue and that this is being played on a laptop (which, IMO, is always a more suspect factor when people complain about gaming issues), and the attitude toward the developers (suggesting they are thoughtless, and generally incompetent) and "leave it to the players and modders".

Seriously? You have an issue with one game on your machine, and you expect the devs to just 'figure out' what that issue is, include a fix in the next patch, and then just walk away, leaving everyone else to suffer with whatever issues they might be having.

What an overly simplistic (and selfish) attitude. Unhelpful.

I turned off memory compression in windows powershell and fixed some stuttering issues on low settings. Then I set Graphics to steam deck been smooth and looks good Acer Nitro 5 Nvidia RTX

Speaks volumes about you, I'm sorry for what you've gone through to take out your frustrations on someone else.

I'm running the game overclocked on a 3080 no problem, only have some stuttering here and there coming in and out of menus and in Dog Town.

If you're using 546.33 drivers go back to 546.29. The new drivers are broke.
