How do I disable cross saves?

I think there's an option for it in options.

I too would like to know, there are a few save files that i think are from previous characters that i would pretty much like to remove now that PL and 2.0 make them pretty much irrelevant. I tried deleting them but i couldn't. If you know how please do share.

Try disabling Cloud Saves in Steam, but I'm not sure why cross saves would crash you game on start. You mean when you open the application or the Spacebar button screen right before the Title Menu?

Crashing before you load anything is not down to cross platform saves.

I had issues of random crashing during game & saving. what solved my issue goto in game settings, Gameplay scroll down to HDD Mode set to Off & scroll down to Enable Cross Platform Saves set to Off then test this work like a charm for me may or may not work for everyone

Worked for me. Disabled HDD mode (on a damn M.2 drive) and the Cross save since I only play on PC.
