Do I have to finish DLC before meeting with Hanako?
Or did they change it and I can meet with Hanako and do the quest and then continue with DLC quests? I want it to be all on the same save since I don't want to replay the whole game.

The best thing is to finish the base game and then play the expansion, it will make more sense.
Try to do all the endings.

So I will be able to just continue with the same save after finishing the base game?

No, you can't. If you finish the main story, the game ends in almost all endings. I don't want to spoil too much, but the start of the DLC has to do with the relic chip and it wouldn't make much sense to be able to engage with this story hook when the issue of the relic chip is already resolved. The DLC can offer an alternative solution to V's problem.

When meeting with Hanako at Embers you reach a "No Turning Back" stage where all your decisions, missions, relations etc will be stopped and you pretty much have to finish the game.
Its wise to just get to the last mission and start the DLC from there before you do the Embers meeting; Or you can always just have a separate save file to load back into if you want to try it out. In the end its all up to you

Exactly like in Witcher 3 when you can reach the final stage by boarding the boat.
