i just wish we could skip his flashbacks completely, or make them like a cutscene, i really really dislike playing as him
My first play through I was thinking there would be a way to get Johnny out of my head and then keep playing.
I guess he is back in Phantom Liberty though, so no avoiding it.
Nope.
The game is not for me.
I hated not only Johnny but also the long unskippable cutscenes and braindance stuff, and especially the fact that nothing you said or did mattered.
I was hoping maybe this improved with the DLC.
Technically it was Morgan Blackhand, a botched shard swap merged the two personalities. Johnny was just the rocker-boy that got domed in the beginning of the attack.
He didn't, really. Morgan Blackhand did that. The majority of Johnny's memories are a lie, and him being behind the bombing is Arasaka propaganda because they got him but Morgan beat Adam Smasher's ass and got away scot free.
He was there, but it was Morgan's (on Militech's payroll) op, Morgan planted the bomb, and Morgan was the one who fought Smasher. Johnny's team was only there to draw Arasaka forces away from Morgan's squad. He was a distraction.
At least, that's how it went down in the TTRPG, and 2077 makes it very clear Johnny's memories are mostly fake. I'm also omitting the Player Character's contribution, which was significant, but difficult to quantify in lore considering how many different PCs there are.
Ah fair enough. Yeah if you don't like him, you don't like him. That's too bad though. I wish you could enjoy it as much as I do. Just googled real quick. There indeed isn't any Johnny suppression mods anywhere ever...
