Updating video drivers worked for me!!

The game worked on 2.0, not after the -frankly HUGE- 2.0.1 update: Title-page crashing with nothing but Steam crash reports for company.

Needed to update my video card driver. Game is a trifle more ponderous to load, but that's about it..

Make a Vortex profile clone first.

Disable mod: Codeware - TweakXL - ArchieveXL - EquipmentEX and then do a steam Verify of files. Make sure you keep your old save to go back to when mods are fixed. Spent hours to get it working but still not ideal. One of the mods DLL Files must be the wrong version due to 2.01 - I posted this in another thread. Working so far but..........

Edit: Works but loses the Wardrobe function and the other mods that rely on those mods but no modded gear has gone from my stash but looks like I would have to just redo my Outfits. I just bough Phantom Liberty also....Sucks but ill play though then once when mods are fixed.

Seriously hope this isn't the only solution, because the latest NVIDIA drivers forces your computer to allocate v-ram in a way which breaks other application. :(

I JUST started playing two days ago again with mods, and now everything is broken and I just want to keep playing 2.0

I was just playing, completed a car theft run from the middle of Dogtown. Ended up by the storage units in 6th St. territory. Completed the job for El Capitan installing malware on their system. Was leaving the storage yard after some looting and...full system freeze. Screens went black, partial UI elements displayed in red or green. Frozen. Still tracking down possible causes in Event Viewer. Played today, didn't have any issues. Tonight, CRASH.

I have the latest nVidia drivers. Just did a complete removal and restore to fix issues with 2.0.

Guys, update ALL your drivers. I had this exact issue; I was unable to play 2.01 due to consistent crashing. And of all things an audio or ethernet driver update (did both together so idk which) fixed it.

I recently updated video card in my old 6th gen core i5 PC from gtx960 to radeon 5600xt. After downloading the game I was unable to play, each save load was a crash. Tried to disable the turbo and xmp in bios, helped only a bit, game lasted for few minutes.
BUT
Enabling swap file fixed all issues with game crashes for me. I had it completely disabled. I'll see what will happen when I play longer, but for now it looks promising.

I freshed installed a few times but kept crashing with mods disabled. Started working after updating graphic drivers. Im dumb so I used geForce experience: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/
