Is Silverhand being phased out of the open world areas?

Pre 1.3, Johnny was every-damn-where in the game, to the point of being audio/visual trash about every 5 to 10 minutes. Post 1.3 his appearances start to drop in frequency but are still a reasonably common encounter.
With the drop of 1.6, his appearances are sparse but still there in occasional side gigs and scanner hustles.
And with the implementation of 2.0, Johnny is now rarely encountered outside the missions related to the main/core story.

Not in my world. V is the gangster warlord of Watson, and Johnny is some dead chump from the past.

yeah but he IS Johnny Silverhand. Like they are the same person? That's the whole story lol. Granted Johnny's character is an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ which is why I like to put him in his place make some character development and give him another chance at life

The story seems to be about trying to remove the tumor in your brain, which is killing you. Said tumor just happens to be digital and chat a bunch of ♥♥♥♥.

It hasn't overridden anything, the copy of the terrorist keep trying to make you smoke, my V doesn't smoke. The construct also has plenty of opinions like thinking "a dumb wh*re" of Evelyn Parker, something thats never crossed Vs mind, things like that.

A mod to remove it would be heaven sent, game even hinted at it with the pills from Misty, but no, can't be muting mister hollywood celeb.

I don't get the hate for Johnny. It shouldn't be any news or spoiler at this point anymore that you can actually remove him from the chip as part of the story. So do that?
