I'll admit that my trusty Shion Coyote didn't handle the way I liked anymore, so I just drove a few other cars until I found one that worked for me.

Its just different. If different "sucks" to you its no ones problem but your own.

Must be trying to drive with office tools

Ive noticed cars splitting a lane for me on either side when I drive fast down the middle lane, especially on highways with multi lanes. I wonder if it's tied to street cred or your particular vehicle, that would be cool!

The biggest problem I have with the driving is the camera. The camera does not auto follow on controller and has to be manually rotated if you go from a behind the car view. That's not ideal.

Got no problem winning races and slinging my Hoon around corners, and that's on kb+m. Gonna put this down to either you not finding the car that's right for you yet or a skill issue.

Do wish that the camera inn first person would act like the camera in third person, and that I could disable the auto-recentering, though.

This can be fixed with a mod. It restores the removed functionality. I thought it very odd that they would remove it, but I'm no game designer, so what do I know.

It's really bad, but whatever, there's too much traffic on the roads anyway. Just drive a motorcycle. I use the Kusanagi CT-3X exclusively and go everywhere with it and have no issues. The handbrake is a bit wonky and wants to do an S-curve, but it's still better than trying to drive a car.

The worst thing for me with driving is that cars don't have brake lights or indicators. Not helpful when trying to drive a high speed in built up traffic.

i just figured something out tonight which improved driving 100% for me. while i use m/k for most of the game i use controller for driving, specifically PS3 controller. and i just noticed under first person (controller) there's a setting "show advanced options" turn that on and from there i changed:

response curve "sensitive"
turning ramp up time "0.40" (from 0.30)
turning delay "0.10" (from 0.30)

and also under third person (controller) i changed:
response curve "sensitive"

seems to have really helped the driving. before it felt like massive lag between me hitting the stick and the car turning which would get out of hand real fast at high speeds.

EDIT: I can even actually drive the HOONicorn now!

I will 10000000000% agree that not all cars and bikes are the same. Some just feel downright awful and some feel really nice.

What I have found though is a heavier preference towards bikes in general cause they seem to just be way easier to navigate around with. Cars just feel a lot clunkier. I haven't really found a car that makes me go "I wanna use this instead of a bike" yet unless I am trying to ram into things.

Controls are okay though even on Keyboard. It does take a bit to learn though.

But some things I have learned:
1. F*** cops on bikes. if you are not also on a bike, you will never lose them.
2. PEOPLE IN THIS DAMN CITY CANT DRIVE. Literally just smashing into things and sometimes just plowing through or not stopping and just ramming right into me. like daddy chill.
3. for now, Bikes > Cars

If in 3rd person i dont like how the camera resets when looking around.

it's way better now, different cars have different handling. On keyboard, stop holding the A or D key which will cause oversteer, just tap it.

Don’t be silly. No one is playing a single player game that has driving with common office tools.
