They changed it to be a bit more realistic in the 2.0 patch. It use to be much worse.

It takes practice. I use my keyboard arrow keys and I get along pretty well. I also run the Cuber Vehicle Overhaul mod, and I think it helps a lot.

HAH! I love it. Every car drives differently. You must not have a license yet. lol. Drive the motorcycles instead of the other vehicles, Motorcycles are the best in the game.

depends heavily on which car you use. the cars that actually feel nice to handle are a bit on the slim side though, i gotta admit. cant say i fully like the driving mechanics in this game. it got multiple overhauls and still many cars have a super soapy feel to them. ive gotten used to it and it feels satisfying to drive well despite the system kinda working against you in many instances. but its baffling that cdpr seems to be satisfyed with the handling of cars, seeing as they finetuned it multiple times and many ppl still dont like it.

I think it's fine. Much better than GTA5 at least, though it can't quite compete with GTA4. ;)

its better than what it was before, i can understand the criticisms though, it can be janky and hard to manage at times.

I have no problem with bikes but some missions must be done with a car. I find the traffic density to be far too high to realistically use cars. Unless of course you like driving at the pace of a snail. I'll have to look and see if there is a setting to reduce traffic density.
