The new skill trees make zero sense.
Seriously. I have no idea what anything does or why i cant put points into certain things. What skills affect punching/melee? Who knows? My fist only character is a complete joke in 2.0 now. Hopefully a mod comes out that reverts the skills trees back to pre 2.0

I'm sorry that you don't know how to read and can't figure out something as basic as this skill tree. That must be very tough for you.

Makes complete sense and works so well. Much better than before. Perhaps you need to read?

Fists are considered blunt weapons in the body tree. We can answer questions without being a jerk.

Ask stupid questions, get stupid answers. All he has to do is experiment. It's more fun than posting on a forum. Kids thesedays....

Reading is fundamental.

Its not really a dumb question. On the skill tree it just says "Blunt Weapons" and if you dont know fists count as a blunt weapons then it can be confusing. And experimenting isnt really a viable option since attribute respeccing isnt a thing.

Are we just gonna make fun of everyone who comes here to ask questions....good way to kill a growing playerbase.

If you want to test things, save with the attribute reset, keep that save. Experiment, reload save if you don't like the results.

What if its a new playthrough? Youre just gonna waste all that time instead of asking on the forum?

The new skill tree makes a lot more sense, and is a lot easier to understand than the old one, in my opinion.

I don't like the new skill tree either. It's unclear to me why I cannot unlock certain skills/perks that are dimmed out even though I have plenty of points available to me (the top half in particular).

Granted, I only gave it a somewhat cursory glance before quitting out, but my first impression of it was that it was jank...and I'm annoyed to have had all my carefully-planned perks be reset due to the perk system getting another overhaul.

You may find some inspiration here.
Good Luck, and ignore the mean answers.

You have to unlock the perks that lead up to the top perks. You can't take a perk in the top section, without taking all of the perks below it that have a line directly connecting to them.

It wouldn't be a dumb question... if he asked the question in a normal fashion like a normal person. He didn't, he posted a juvenile whine that just happened to also contain that question. The tone of one's question will typically inform the tone of responses. If you whine, you get mockery. If you seriously and civilly ask a question, even if it actually is a dumb one, you usually get serious and helpful answers.

On the contrary i think the old system was confusing as hell. Never bothered with it cuz of that. This new system is easy to look and understand. Makes the game lot more fun and easy to build overpowered characters.

I didnt see it a whining, I think its fustration. I had numerous posts about things I dont like about the new skill tree.

But mostly I responded bc the OP is correct. People are telling the OP they meed to learn how to read when the skill tree doesnt mention anything about fists or how it scales.
