So what are the good guns?
Last time I played this was Dec 2020. I decided to check out 2.0. Turns out the only gun I have that can put enemies on the ground (and make sure they stay that way) with any kind of reasonable speed is my double barreled shotgun. The shotgun is great but it might get boring.

So any advice on what guns I should be looking for? I want to go in loud and kill everyone fast. I am playing on very hard if that makes any difference.

A smart weapon. At least that gives me another spec to try. Thanks man.

Problem Solver, iconic SMG. Before that Fenrir, also iconic SMG. Overwatch for occasional ranged pest but SMG really gets 'er done.

It depends on your build on playstyle.

i still like lizzies tech pistol but i haven't been using it since i specd into throwing knives. they too much fun :P
they have a nice feedback loop for aiming skill. if you miss you dont get the knife back right away and cant attack :)

Really depends on your build. Since I'm assuming you're not doing netrunning, assault rifles are good for a ricochet focus, revolvers for headshots, and shotties for up close. For smartguns, I like Shingen and Yinglong iconics. For the rest of the iconics, most of the good ones I've seen are found in Phantom Liberty.

With 2.0 changes though, I wouldn't say any particular gun is a must have, even a souped Tier 5++ regular can be about as good. Only the X-MOD2 guns are overall better than non iconics.

Since the update most guns seem to do actual work now. Though heavy lifters are still always going to be the ones that benefit directly from your chosen perk trees. That said i get the most use out of the heavy pistols like the Nui and Malorian. 1 head shot on most enemies unless they are chromed to hell.

Machine guns are probably the only exception, ive yet to see one that does anything a AR can't already do faster and without slowing me down.

I'll always shill for a good Lexington. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with a Satara or Achilles. Smart weapons weren't anything I ever played with, but with 2.0 I gotta give it another go here. Gotta admit I sorta liked the smart sniper rifle.

The best Nue you can find with the 150% suppressor neatly removes heads of all but the skull bosses and sometimes even them.,

jacky s gun with supressor is insane + good iron sight, but you need to send jacky to his family to get it..

Best gun in the game currently and its mot even close is Pride but you have to beat the game to get it.

First hit is always a crit and has 400% headshot multiplier mechanic.

I still like the pistol/sniper-rifle combo. And uses the same perk tree... (i think.)
Anything is playable if it suits your personal style, no?
