Huh? Post 2.0 Smasher should take less than five min max even with mediocre gear. Stack quickhacks on him and shoot with a long gun. Don't need to bother with adds, dodge when he's close to get range, keep hacks up and just shoot. If you beat the game once before use Ba Xing Chong on him.
Took a long while with top tier gear. I also had no deck so no quickhacks.
Just took a long while.
also, what is the logic he would be quicker to beat post 2.0? You literally can't get as OP as you could in the past and Adam will always be scaled stronger no matter what.
Good fight, sir.
and yes if you know a term for your build, you have a direct line your are aiming for.
But yeah, just took a lot of running around....which was boring and demoralizing knowing if I died it would be at least another 10 of just dodging is missiles and chase.
Blame the level scaling you appear to enjoy. How do you like it now?
I changed around several things in my build, and beat him fine. I just needed to know what the expected time was because I had never fought him (definitely the character with the most health.)
I was working against myself by playing against my build. So I had to shift my perks, that worked.
I was just supposed to be a test play that ended up 30 hours, lol. So i didn't really pay attention to it's build for most the game. Otherwise I had challenge but not insane bullet sponges like Adam.
(previous to 2.0, you where wither OP or had bullet sponges...and you couldn't die do to unlimited health options.)
had to come back to edit cause you cannot literaly oneshot him cause it leaves him at 9% nomatter what you do but still :p

So I had to just learn to survive a enemy who can 1-2 shot me whole I had to fight him for 15 minutes. I did it eventually.
1 hit kill? Uh I want to actually have fun, so I don't do that Youtube min/max bull.
(If only we just used a more realistic approach where BOTH parties only needs a few shots to die, not just the player.)
It feels even more grindy now; taking way more time for every fight and battle.. with the loot system giving you less incentive to explore..
I like a challenge, so I do have a natural tendency to handicap myself. I always play the underdog or out of meta stuff.
Was just curious how long the average was with 2.0 (I don't consider pre-2.0 because it was still Diablo which I barely consider a proper game, and yes I was around for Diablo one and came to this conclusion before many here drew breadth....never seen a reason to change my mind. If anything I just had more proof. "looter shooters" aren't proper games.)
