Heavily used incendiary grenades, which also combo on adds when Adam spreads contagion on them, which then instantly explode.
Blood Pump with the 2 sec 100% mitigation + heal over time skills helped against missiles.
Blackwall Gateway quickhack on him?
i tried to get two of them and then i could go back to focusing on adam for a bit while those guys dealt with each other for me. my build wasn't really focused, i had 20 intelligence and technical, but my perks were kinda all over the place, so i had no kind of big damage buffs from them. i probably still never would have beaten this guy, but on the first attempt where the cyberpsychosis strategy worked out well for me against the other dudes, adam just stopped moving. i kept shooting him from behind cover with the rifle, and using sonic shock then overheat on him, which did nice damage (i have whatever it is that causes combat hacks to do more damage after something like sonic shock, can't remember if it's a perk or what).
anyway it felt a bit cheap for me to kill him that way, but i think CDPR kinda F'd up with the balancing of these boss fights. if someone isn't specced out with highly focused perks, the boss fights just become insane and borderline impossible (Oda was also a nightmare and it felt like i abused a bug to beat him also), and i don't think that's right or fair. i think they should have had some more intelligent coding in there, to scale the boss fights not just to your level but to your perk selection. it even sounds like they should have scaled them to make them HARDER for people who have stuff that stacks like crazy. the vids i've seen where someone just slashes him with a knife over and over a few times and kills him, with each hit dealing tens of thousands, that just seems absurd and stupid. i have no idea how people are getting damage to stack that high but imo it shouldn't have ever been allowed to get that out of hand. it doesn't make sense.
every now and then used i criple movement on him and during that pumped i an entire magazine of my smart mashine gun into him o-o. which randomly hitted the weakspot aswell etc.
just RUN when ya hear him shooting rockets, when he is done, cripple movement and pump whatever you have into him and when he starts shooting at you (which he will do after criple movement) take cover, reload your weapons etc. AAAAND run again =D
repeat this until he is dead. smart gun/mashine gun is recommended to kill the called in troups quick or a strong pistol with headshot modifiers. tho, i can tell you that you dont have much time to aim anyways, so. i still strongly recomment the smart gun/mashine gun xD.
What saved V was V:s magic ability to revert time. ;)
It's absolutely frustrating how hard he is to kill.
I'm max level (50) and still get one shot by his missles...
Just absurd this game... at least sometimes.
//Update: Well... after overlooking my weapons... i should equip them with mods.
Without mods -> Unbelievable hard to get him down.
With mods? -> Got him down to 40 in like 40 Seconds xD.
Always upgrade/mod your stuff guys!
But still haven't beat him yet. But i'm sure now it will be much more easy.
- Use Yinglong as first weapon (he has a weakness for shock, with smart link you can not miss him)
- Get lots of stats with critical change and damage, electricity damage
- Trow EMP, use cripple, cyberware malfunction
- Use any other weapon with smart or high damage to finish him off (mind that SMG use small ammo, so assault or sniper is best)
Get the 'heal while sprint' perk, and keep moving to dodge the rockets. 100% mitigation when Dash, Overclock perk is handy (but dangerous if you use to much HP). And what ever more adds to headshot damage. Get you armour up to 1000+
It should take around 10 minutes, or shorter, to get him down on Very Hard
You got the 100% crit chance for hacks cyberware because you should melt ♥♥♥♥ in vanilla?
