Adam Smasher 2.0 how do I kill this dude
Holly hell Im trying hard to kill him but I just fking cant

Im using a netrunner/blades build, and my netrunning abilities need way too much for me to handle him. When I manage to deal enough damage he summons a bunch of dudes that distract me from focusing on him then he does that barrage of missiles that is basically an insta kill for me. Max I could drop from him was to 51% health in which he then proceeded to kill me using those missiles that almost always hit you no matter what. Its quite frustrating.

For weapons I have Byakko, O'Five, Fenrir etc but I feel like using my monowire to recover ram is better even though it deals almost no dmg. What should I do? :/

Lvl scaling is on of the dumbest things CDPR did with the update. I think somebody should introduce them difficulty levels and how they work. Playing normal with AI that is sharpshooter, wonder netrunner and tank does remove a lot from pleasant play.
Reduce the difficulty then, the rest of us are enjoying enemies putting up a fight.
Managed him with overdrive + cyberware malfunction (+5% dmg, debuff, long duration) + contagion (dot, long duration) + overheat (dot, causes combo with contagion, massive dmg), and firing from cover with smart smg (+dmg when affected by hacks).

Heavily used incendiary grenades, which also combo on adds when Adam spreads contagion on them, which then instantly explode.

Blood Pump with the 2 sec 100% mitigation + heal over time skills helped against missiles.

Anyone tried to use Militech Canto? :)
Blackwall Gateway quickhack on him?

i used lots of cripple movement and unloaded on him with a precision rifle. i would run or duck behind cover if i saw him targeting me with his gun or missiles. took me several tries to figure that much out. when the other guys started coming out, they were killing me over and over, eventually i started focusing on targeting them (for several tries i was almost ignoring them because smasher was still a threat) with cyberpsychosis.

i tried to get two of them and then i could go back to focusing on adam for a bit while those guys dealt with each other for me. my build wasn't really focused, i had 20 intelligence and technical, but my perks were kinda all over the place, so i had no kind of big damage buffs from them. i probably still never would have beaten this guy, but on the first attempt where the cyberpsychosis strategy worked out well for me against the other dudes, adam just stopped moving. i kept shooting him from behind cover with the rifle, and using sonic shock then overheat on him, which did nice damage (i have whatever it is that causes combat hacks to do more damage after something like sonic shock, can't remember if it's a perk or what).

anyway it felt a bit cheap for me to kill him that way, but i think CDPR kinda F'd up with the balancing of these boss fights. if someone isn't specced out with highly focused perks, the boss fights just become insane and borderline impossible (Oda was also a nightmare and it felt like i abused a bug to beat him also), and i don't think that's right or fair. i think they should have had some more intelligent coding in there, to scale the boss fights not just to your level but to your perk selection. it even sounds like they should have scaled them to make them HARDER for people who have stuff that stacks like crazy. the vids i've seen where someone just slashes him with a knife over and over a few times and kills him, with each hit dealing tens of thousands, that just seems absurd and stupid. i have no idea how people are getting damage to stack that high but imo it shouldn't have ever been allowed to get that out of hand. it doesn't make sense.

i just ran around in circles o.o he was never really able to hit me o-o.
every now and then used i criple movement on him and during that pumped i an entire magazine of my smart mashine gun into him o-o. which randomly hitted the weakspot aswell etc.

just RUN when ya hear him shooting rockets, when he is done, cripple movement and pump whatever you have into him and when he starts shooting at you (which he will do after criple movement) take cover, reload your weapons etc. AAAAND run again =D

repeat this until he is dead. smart gun/mashine gun is recommended to kill the called in troups quick or a strong pistol with headshot modifiers. tho, i can tell you that you dont have much time to aim anyways, so. i still strongly recomment the smart gun/mashine gun xD.
Melee builds not revolving around sandi are probably sad about the fight, anything that can keep mobile trivializes the fight, except maybe clipping into something during the rocket phase.
i just punched him to death during Sandy lol

took me 4 attempts to kill Smasher found it really challenging im gland he is hard to kill as he should be, older patches he was a joke. idk how you gong to do it as a net runner
So Adam won 3 times, and V one.
What saved V was V:s magic ability to revert time. ;)
Having the same problem...
It's absolutely frustrating how hard he is to kill.
I'm max level (50) and still get one shot by his missles...

Just absurd this game... at least sometimes.

//Update: Well... after overlooking my weapons... i should equip them with mods.
Without mods -> Unbelievable hard to get him down.
With mods? -> Got him down to 40 in like 40 Seconds xD.

Always upgrade/mod your stuff guys!
But still haven't beat him yet. But i'm sure now it will be much more easy.

Not the most popular, but how I mowed him down was:

- Use Yinglong as first weapon (he has a weakness for shock, with smart link you can not miss him)
- Get lots of stats with critical change and damage, electricity damage
- Trow EMP, use cripple, cyberware malfunction
- Use any other weapon with smart or high damage to finish him off (mind that SMG use small ammo, so assault or sniper is best)

Get the 'heal while sprint' perk, and keep moving to dodge the rockets. 100% mitigation when Dash, Overclock perk is handy (but dangerous if you use to much HP). And what ever more adds to headshot damage. Get you armour up to 1000+

It should take around 10 minutes, or shorter, to get him down on Very Hard
It's simple just always crit and always dodge. I just sliced em up with a errata/sandi even with using balanced with the damage scale mod (-70% dmg to npcs at lvl 50+) I got em in about 10-15 tries.

Lower the difficulty? I had to for a couple beat the brat missions after I tried until it wasn't fun anymore.
I was waiting for an Atom Smasher discussion. Just did this Sat. it took me more than 6 hours on very hard. Getting some good damage before he bolts. hack the jack in point. then stay away enough to hit all his helpers with cyber psycho. until you might get your hands on a heavy gun. I did it for so long I was Numb when he finally went down. I thoroughly completed the map would have been nice to get a "very hard"achievement. Edit : Crazy hard to kill.
