Smart weapons are bugged (Ashura)
Or maybe its just the Ashura sniper rifle. The reason I think the Ashura can be a top tier weapon bc its synergy with the Cool Tree since it always aims for head = 100% crit chance. Problem is I would always miss my first shot after the weapon "locked on."

So I did my testing and I based on my testing this weapon has a hidden lock on mechanic.

Currently Ashura has a 1.15 sec lock on time. Im pretty much assumed the lock on is over after the diamond plus reticle appeared....but thats not the case. You have to what an additional 1.15 seconds AFTER the first weapon lock on which is never explained or explained badly.

Here are the results
1. Shoot after first lock on...Always Miss
2. Shoot after lock on with max Ram for max accuracy....Always Miss
3. Shoot after 1-2 second delay after first lock on... Always a hit.
4. Shoot while Overclock is active w. Smart Synergy perk after first lock on = Always a hit
5. 2nd shot without breaking first lock on. Always a hit.

Conclusion: You have to wait a second after the recticle locks on to get a hit onthe target.

CDPR needs to patch this bc its fustrating for people who dont know this is going on. Maybe this has always been the case, I just started using smart weapon recently amd never understood why sucked so bad in 2.0.

100% confirmed... u have a full lock on and bullet just go straight line... seems like visual lock and ingame lock is different.
Thanks for the testing...
That sh.t is annoying as hell...

Base Ashura / Yasha rifle has 50% accuracy.

There's a mod on nexus to fix that to 100%.

It definitely feels like the redesign on the mechanics wants players to play specific ways, like if you want to use sniper rifles the new design team wants you to go tech weapons. If you want to use AR's and SMG's the new design team wants you to go smart weapons. If you want to use Shotguns and LMG's the new design team wants you to go power weapons. If you want to use the Beserk OS the new design team wants you to use hammers. If you want to use Cyberdecks, again the new team wants you to use Smart AR's and SMG's.

Its not an accuracy thing.... the lock on is the problem. It takes a gun with low DPS but fun to use and makes it unplayable.
