Level Scaling
I hate level scaling in RPG games. Tell me if it is possible to disable level scaling. Maybe you need to change something in the files or install a mod?

No it can't be disabled and a mod is unlikely because of the amount of work that would be involved. Maybe though, some people do get passionate.

There are guides on how to revert to the 1.63 build if you want though but I don't think the DLC is compatible with the game if you do that.

I doesn't need to be disabled. It just scales you pre-cyberware. Any cyberware mods put you superhuman levels over enemies. I just sit in the center if a firefight and absorb damage while I melt everything with quickhacks and smart weapons. You don't even notive level scaling after a point.

I'm level 54 and can definitely feel the difference even with maxed out skill trees and maxed out cyberware. There used to be a measurable difference with levels that mattered with enemies, and although skills compensate a bit, it just feels like enemies are bullet sponges from the beginning of the game to the end. Yeah, I can 1 shot guys later, but I could do that on 1.63 as well, but with the added benefit of being able to challenge myself with way higher levels that now don't exist, or showing how badass I am going back to Watson to stomp on peons.

It feels the same to me as the last time I played through. It starts off as a bit of a challenge and then gradually your gear and cyberware puts you further and further ahead of the bad guys until you bump up the difficulty.
I imagine even very hard won’t be able to keep up by the end.

Don't worry about the level scaling. I hate it as well in some games but here I don't feel it and I'm level 32. I'm slowly turning into a god even playing on very hard difficulty. The scaling just makes sure the enemies can at least damage you as you get stronger and combat stays engaging. Enemies haven't felt spongy at all after around level 10 with a proper build.

And without scaling the DLC would be problematic. I think you can be around level 15-50 to enter it, spend there time leveling up and then return to the main game area. Without scaling it would be a mess or fixed level for around max level characters.

Your only hope is that some modder makes it happen but i don't think you ever see a mod going to change a deep core mechanic like this without causing a plethora of other issues.
Best you can do i cope with it and just ignore the scaling .

Maybe a mod will do that, but how was said here, don't worry. It's pretty balanced to be this way. You become stronger with your own build, not only with bigger stats and damage from a level difference. When playing you can feel how better the progression is now.

Really is some bullet sponges. Head shots with the O-Five is barely doing any damage lol.

hopefully a mod changes the level scaling...other than than the bullet sponges its a literal ridiculous in my game when every single two-bit thug on the street is teleporting around like their max-tac or something.

One of many changes I hate. I have installed a separate 1.63, but am trying to like 2.0. So far, I'm not.

Level scaling makes difficulty non trivial

It's easier to start on very hard in 2.0, no more 2 stray bullets and death from 1.6. I don't know if this is a result of level scaling tho, because it looks like the damage itself was lowered.

Or they could just set a min level req for a dlc, and slowly autolevel based on player level, it was done in New Vegas, Skyrim, not rocket science.
