Stuck in Johny past where him escape from the club. cars chase you. you grab the gun. before you can turn around to shoot them. you already lose half your health. another 2 sec you are dead.

You can drop the difficulty for just that one part and put it back up afterwards. Harder difficulties are purposely geared towards you having an easier time of dying, and that really shows in car chases in this game.

The problem is I don’t think they tested level scaling at all.

They did not. It's trash and there's no excuse behind it. Drop it to normal, get out of the car when you can, quick save and re-up difficulty.

Difficulty in this game is very unrewarding by the way. Very Hard is tremendously easy until you get randomly 1 shot/punched or shot through some broken cover.

The faster dying isn't a problem. Enemies having so much HP they can take a whole HMG (skilled btw) to the face (no ahot missing as well) is not "difficulty" but stupid.

When I confessed that I'm not skilled enough for this and lowered the difficulty somone talented told the following. Start over untill you kill the shooter of the first vehicle almost instantly and you have a good chance to beat it. I still ask myself how you kill anything on verhy hard instantly with a firearm ^^.
