Favorite cyber-arms?
I love the aesthetic and build potential for all four Cyber Arms types, especially since cyber-arms can fill your dedicated melee playstyle and open up all three weapon slots for ranged weapons.

Any notable iconic weapons that pair well with cyber-arms?

Granted, I haven't tested the post-2.0 Projectile Launch System, but I have played around with Gorilla Arms and Mantis Blades. Still kind of odd that they didn't add a Post-2.0 tech tree or body tree perk that lets you install two different cyber-arm types (Like Maine's Gorilla Arms with Projectile Launcher combo in Edgerunners), which I think would have been great, even if it only allowed one melee type plus projectile launcher.

Choice: None

- can't do Gorilla since they all have 'side effects' and I need my punches to be non-lethal
-- but I miss the strength buff

- can't stand rockets
-- after hypos were nerfed, it never felt the same
-- I got guns

- mantis is too edgy

- wires have that damage drop-off after first strike

For me gorilla arms, hey are just too useful. Not only do you get an amazing blunt attack for taking people out alive(as long as you dont explode their heads lol) but you get a bonus to strength checks.

Mantis blades and monowire are cool looking but thats about it for me.

Mantis Blades; that way I can have a pistol/revolver, a shotgun, and a rifle to fill the 3 inventory weapon slots while still having blades to use as a 4th option.

Gorilla arms for the win.

just so - satisfying to jump into a group of gangers and punch them. and yea - after everyone is down - i tend to pull out a shotgun and shoot anyone still moving in the face.

Have you ever dropped something and have it roll under the fridge? Then you have to get like a broom or something and try to stick it underneath the fridge, but the handle is slightly too large to fit under the bridge and it's just a whole thing?

You know who doesn't struggle with that? People with mantis blades.

Just as practical in the home as on the battlefield.

Projectile Launcher with perks and relic points is really, really good. I like it over cyberarms in a blunt build.

Gorilla Arms/Mantis Blades pure melee. Just way too much fun. I used the Blades until I maxed out Shinobi and now I'm working on Solo with the Arms. It's nice that they're non-lethal unless you use special attacks, and the Sling Finisher, shoulder charge, and ground pound are all really fun and satisfying to use. It gives them a bit more depth than the Blades, which just bullet deflect and slice'n dice.

just jumping into a mass of ganger and fisting them to death. (with a shotgun blast to the face for any that are still twitching.

- fun. -

for all the fps/rpgs i've played - cp2077 is only one that has made melee..

satisfying.

Mantis blades are super cool but no real reason to use them over katanas. They function almost the same but they get no unique effects like iconic katanas do. And with some of the new reflex perks you can emulate the lunging effect mantis blades have with any other kind of blade.

Projectile launcher is super strong in 2.0 with investment in the tech and relic trees. 3 uses of it, and being able to overcharge it to shoot 5 projectiles is a game changer. Combine that with the burn this city perk and you can pretty much replenish uses for it as soon as you spend them.

Anyone have any preferences for elemental types or is that pretty much up to one's build? I could see Thermal synergizing with netrunners who use Contagion since Heat procs cause that detonation, but I've been sticking with Physical.

Any Iconic arms to be found anywhere?

electrical seems fun - but the arms i currently have access to? - the extra effects, but are kind of "meh" could still use them, but the extras just dont seem to be much use at this time.

once i've leveled and can get the build i want - will likely switch. (want to redo my fister/hacker build from launch. - just takes alot of levels to flesh out.

Monowire with the weapon glitch quickhack attached. Love jumping into combat with an area attach against 2-4 enemies and all their weapons stop working. It's always fun to watch.
