Whats the point of clothing rarity?

I see an occasional 10 armor, but does wearing an orange quality item differ from wearing a green? Any purpose except for what we get when dismantling?

Doesn't really make a difference other than the quality of crafting components you pull out of it when you disassemble.

Only a few of the clothes still have a minor stat boost i.e. a Bullet-proof jacket or Helmet etc will now give you a small Armour increase (up to 25 points) and the amount of "boost" you get varies depending on the clothes rarity level.

However, as 90% of the clothes in CP2077 don't have any perks at all the rarity level is, for the vast majority, a waste which does nothing other than increase cost.
