I'll have to find out more.
We have actual "Hack-Combos" now that give us special effects. Combining the cyberware control hack with electrocution one, that's really effective to use together.
it's a hack-combo. there are more of them as well. I know the reset cyberware one and the electro-damage one (forget the name) combo well together, as well.
I also seen someone using the blind hack, then using some perks so when they shot the target with a smart smg, it spread it around.
I have no idea how they did this though, as I don't think it;s actually linked to a perk. it might have been from their kiroshi's (they were using oracale, not seen them yet)
Thanks, that's great. thank you.
Do you know any other combos, please?
Oh....duh....LOL, well, its fun anyway to do it
Use Sonic Shock + Overheat.
Sonic Shock activates the 60% damage bonus and also makes it so Overheat can't be traced. This combo crushes almost everything.
The perk also works with the contagion combo you're trying to do. Ping a group of enemies to get the 60% damage boost on all of them, then do contagion + overheat. Additionally, take the intelligence perk for extra quickhack explosion damage,
ah so ping actually activates the perk on everything? I didn't realise that. I had stopped using it and I tend to just queue a control hack followed by a damage one (usually cyberware malfunction and short circuit, at the moment)
I have access to the sonic one as well though, so I will definitely try that out.
Do you know what level you get tier 3 decks in shops? I still only have access to the T2 decks, but I'm also only just level 16 (almost 17) so probably won't see them till after level 20, maybe?
I know I can level my own as well now, but don't think I have access to T3 mats yet. Although I probably can start crafting them. I have been using T2 mats to level up my cyberware so far though.
I'd only heard about them on YT, as they don't have the descriptions, until you have them at the specified level. made some of us think that they were secret combos, or something.
I guess it makes way more sense to not hide your mechanics away from people, but I'm used to this kind of thing from games like Zelda, that always seem to have hidden moves and such.
Looking forward to getting a T4 deck now then, so I can do the explosion combo.
Ping is a covert quick hack so you get the bonus on everyone. Though, in the early game, Ping is kind of expensive.
As far as i can tell, vendors sell the next tier of stuff every 10 levels.
Yes, this is why I dropped it. using ping first was surplus to requirements, as i can drop most enemies with just cyber malfunction/short circuit anyway (without hitting them with weapons) and anything a bit chunkier, I finish with my wire or SMG (using the Yinglong, it's amazing for Hacker hybrid)
Using Ping first, just wasn't really needed, beyond it's tactical capabilities. I will certainly slot it again later though, when I have more space and ram to use)
I am going to get the skill that lets you reload when switching weapons, and just run 2 x Yinlong and the wire. (build is going to be 20 int and 20 reflexes, then 15 in tech and the rest probably in body, although have room for a few points in cool, if I want to)
Full hacker looks cool as well, but I wanted to have some more varied gameplay. I also think SMG is most Cyberpunk of ranged weapons, and it's nice that they made them better in 2.0.
I was a Pistol-guy before, but really into my Yinglong. I didn't really like the smartweapon gameplay, at first, but when you combine this with the hacking and the wire, it comes together nicely, and actually feels pretty badass to get auto targeting-support.
I only wish I could make my SMG into a drone, so |I could wire and gun at the same time, would be sick. or have it shoulder mounted or something.
that would have been great for an update. turrets, drones and shoulder mounted weapons.
