Phantom Liberty Endings.
Hey guys, what ending do you guys think feels more cannon ? In my opinion going with reed and keeping songbird alive feels like the cannon ending.

That's definitely the ending with the best rewards, but it seems like a bad ending for songbird.

With how underwhelming the new ending is, I don't feel like it's meant to be the definitive one. At the same time, the ending where you help her invest in cryptocurrency feels a bit too grandiose.

I tried most of them and my favorite is definitely siding with Reed and Refusing songbirds final request.

That final sequence of events/final mission after siding with Reed is just so incredibly well done and just has so much more going on thematically. Absolutely loved it.

cannon... in cyberpunk... you must be new to role playing games.

I capped Reed's ass and sent that girl to the Moon.

I think sending songbird to the mood is the best ending. Songbird says, a well dress man with blue eye paid for her trip to the moon. Now consider the main game special ending. It is blue eyes that says they can help V after the space mission. I can not help but think these two events are connected.

Why did you deny her request to die? Her fate with the blackwall is terrible.

I tried both outcomes and preferred the one where you dont kill her. If you dont kill her, you get some extra deep and meaningful convo with Reed, and Myers loves you and gives you a medal. If you kill her, Reed doesnt forgive you, and myers basically calls you a clown and flips you the bird. And songbird is dead. Gee what a great ending!

Myers wanted to continue using Songbird, that's why she's so hostile in that ending. Songbird staying alive may be the worst outcome for her. She will remain a slave/weapon.

No definitive ending or canon. It's just based on how you view it. Sending Song to space would seem more like something V would have done. Song is a mirror of V and that they both are dying. Can't Imagine V would just ditch Song. I don't really feel bad for killing Reed either because it is a way to relive him from his duty. Mayers ain't no saint either and giving Song back to her would just mean she is stuck there being a tool. Curing V would be something the player might have done but the aftermath is tough.

the DLC added 5 outcomes.
side with so-mi's plan to escape or reed's plan to capture her when in hansons base
that branches into 2 paths
each of those paths has another branch that change up the ending of said path (you can save so-mi or let her die in both paths) making 4 outcomes with unique scenes and dialogue
and one of those 4 also unlocks a new ending ending to the game that you can select as an option on the rooftop when talking to johnny

in any case as for "cannon" i kinda feel like capping reed and sending so-mi to the moon feels the most in character for V.
in the end they are all liars and manipulators with issues. but V can sympathise with So-mi being in a similar situation.

THANK YOU. I sent the bird to the moon and no regrets. At least, Johnny agreed with that decision , and that is good enough. Cant trust anyone in the DLC, at least you can trust Johnny.

Reed does forgive you kinda. He meets you later saying he could see why we chose to end her.

My primary objective is not to appease the lying murderous songbird's wishes and have everyone else hate me so i'm ok with that, plus it's only hinted at, songbirds fate isnt written in stone, you can imagine a scenario where reed convinces myers to have mercy on her and they all have a beer on a tropical beach somewhere in the future. :P Probably wishful thinking but i can dream.
