Did Jackie's funeral get cut?

I remember this one early quest where you attend Jackie's funeral. I'm well into act 2 now and I've just realised its not popped up this time round. What gives? I know its technically optional but it just hasn't shown up at all..

You have to call mama Welles. Check your journal or phone contacts. Oh yeah, if you don't have del send his body to his family then there is no funeral

that quest only triggers based on where you told the taxi to take his body after the job.
send it to Vic you dont get the memorial in his mums bar and miss his guns ( and they dont appear in dogtowns vendor)
you need to send him home to his family for the memorial to trigger. and its time sensitive, wait too long and progress too far with other stuff the memorial will progress without you.

You must choose to send his body to his family once the Konpeki heist ends.
If you choose to send him to Vik, Arasaka will nab him and use Soulkiller on him.

If you sent his body to his family, his mother will call you or text you, and she'll invite you to the offrenda.

That's a spoiler-ish question, btw. Might want to edit out the name.

It's still in the game, although it may be locked out depending on the choice you made at the end of The Heist.

You can also leave the body in the car. Works out the same as sending it to his mum.

it's a secret mission you dont send his body to his mom you dont go to his funeral

OH ♥♥♥♥ THAT'S RIGHT I sent him to the doc. I guess I didn't do that first time. It was 2 years ago totally forgot. My thinking was literally, "It'd be a ♥♥♥♥ move to send the bloody corpse of a man directly to his mother with no context".

Good news, you now get the awful ending where you can talk to Jackie with the Arasaka ending, they used Soulkiller on him and it's corrupted

Huh. Interesting. I actually went with that ending originally so I won't be picking it again. Never really felt like I beat the game cuz that ending just feels like a "No one would ever actually choose this ending" kind of ending

If you go alone with Johnny, go with the nomads or let him take Rogue to destroy Mikoshi and you sent Jackie to Vik, you will also get to talk to Jackie. But its on a virtual version of the rooftop.
And they added this engram version of Jackie to Death Stranding, who you can help find his mind again. So at least in one other reality, Jackie gets to hang around.
Sometimes I love the Multiverse and its options.
