I just love looting, breaking it down, crafting and upgrading all my kit. Just deciding what to wear is a mini game in itself. Yeah lots to do.
Part of it is that the games are so big now that the novelty wears off before you can complete it.
Witcher 3
Divinity OS 2
Kingdom Come: Deliverance
WarTales
Examples of fantastic games that really hooked me initially but then you hit the 100 hour mark and you find yourself losing that sense of excitement. Then a new game comes along and you play that with the good intention of returning to complete the previous games. But don't.
We are the customer but also we are the product.
No surprise often it feels shallow to play a game because especially games from the big companies are a soulless combination of the most "promising" game mechanics to keep players busy and "entertained", according to analyst tools.
Its an industry. I cant find magic in an industry.
That being said, Cyberpunk is definitely one of the rare games nowadays which got me excited to play. Alone for that im thankful.
and witcher 4 will be way worse cause all the old devs left
this game is so much fun and you can do anything! you have to upgrade your character's ability. please play the game nicely see my played hrs. still this game is not boring to me!
I finished the game 3 times!
1) The OP is long gone.
2) The OP is not you, and has plainly said that they are getting bored with games as of late.
If the OP has only put 24.4 hours into this game, which is enough to get plenty of gigs and story done, then they simply don't like the gameplay loop. I.e, boring -> for them.
I've put 859.6 hours into this game, but I'm also using mods, so I don't feel what the OP feels, however I also won't belittle how the OP feels. If the OP isn't feeling the game, then the OP simply isn't feeling the game, and that's totally fine.
The bottom line though, is that everyone is different and don't enjoy the same things. What's fun for you, isn't always going to be fun for others, and vice-versa.
As someone else said...means you're getting old...lol
Dude, this thread is over 6 months old and the OP themselves hasn’t replied in 6+ months.
Even pushing this aside, your post is demonstrably false and incorrect. No, you cannot “do anything”; the game is not a sandbox and has never been a sandbox. As a matter of fact, CDPR games in general are notoriously lacking in sandbox elements (hope they improve massively in this department in their future games).
And it isn’t a matter of “play(ing) the game nicely”. Burnout is a real phenomenon and advising the OP to keep playing the game is not only counterintuitive but also detrimental to treating burnout.
If anything, the OP should stay away from the game until they feel ready to come back.
