Why the soundtrack is SO BAD?
Not one radio in the game have music in the same level of Blade Runner and many other indie cyberpunk games, so why the studio that made one of the best original soundtracks ever made (The Witcher 3, in the same level as Shadow of the Colossus) could not repeat that success when making Cyberpunk 2077? Why not add another radio station with artists such as Vangelis or even indie ones like Kavinsky?

How much do you want to pay extra for more music licences.... How about you play your own favorite music in the background while playing.

Radio stations are fine. I don't like them, but darker future Alternate Earth California 2077 is likely not going to be my style. It doesn't mean it's bad. It just means I, personally, don't like it.

I'd like some extreme retro stuff in a custom radio station. Sure. I could just start up a player app separately, but I'd like to have it coming from an in-game source instead. That's the only "soundtrack" change I'd make.

This game has one of the best soundtracks ever, don't you have YouTube open with bad music?

It's down to tastes I guess. I like the new Growl FM station.

it's subjective. I find couple stations pretty good, others very bad.

In fact, I've been using YouTube to leave soundtracks playing in the background like Blade Runner, Drive, Daftpunk and Synthpop in general because 95% of all radio stations in my opinion are very bad. Bands like Volkor X should be in this game, but instead we have only crap stuff

Listen, Ill tell you a big secret... You can mute in-game music and listen whatever you want. Minds blown...

How you can sit there and say Black Dog isn't one of the best pieces of music made for a game?

In all seriousness I had a friend say something very similar. He was hoping for a synth sound which I get. But I also told him "What? did you expect all of human culture to boil its self down to one musical genre in the 2070s?"

Yeah, most of radio tracks just suck. Even more strange considering that the soundtrack itself is a sodding masterpiece, if you ask me.

Serious answer to the question was given by Adamczyk. He said that almost every game with a cyberpunk theme leans into that musical trope of trying to sound like Vangelis scored them. CDPR wanted to do something different.

I think the music away from the radio station is generally superb. They got a good cellist in and she knocked it out of the park. The radio stations... I have mixed feelings about but variety is fine.

Opinions are opinions I guess, but just off the top of my head, here's a track on the radio that I think is really good. If you hate everything the soundtrack does for whatever reason, guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. But also to be fair, you're roleplaying how I feel every time I turn on my real life radio in my real life car lol.

Devs specifically said they dont want to jump on "80s synthwave" cliche and make this another Bladerunner experience. The game has many tracks made specifically for the game, and it has many great songs. Be a little open minded, this aint Bladerunner or "indie Cyberpunk" game.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, calling all the Radio Stations and Ingame Music "Bad" shows your Taste of Music, it seems you have just Bad Taste at all.

Because they spent 90% of the budget on Keanu Reeves.
