It's a bit rare, but some clothes have states.
Found a bike helmet with 25 armor, and some face braindance helmet thing with quickhack bonuses.
I'm pretty sure there's a few others.
havent seen that helmet yet
for me only "clothing" i found that had any extra? effect beyond appearance was, as you mentioned some minor hacking buff headset*
kind of silly. i get shouldnt be armor - but it does kind of take the whole point out of higher grade/rare clothing items.
i mean its not like for 99.9% of the time we can actually see them!
You can also get a netrunner suit that lessens damage from hacking.
i get the no armor bit - but yea i agree.
it does make the different classes of clothing kind of useless save for looks.
and even then - for the most part, beyond inventory screen - you never really see it.. so whats the point?
exactly.... ive been boggled about the whole thing for a few days now, dont know what to make of it since it doesnt make much sense lol
I get it that the developer wanted an immersive 1st person experience, but it's a big missing feature that we're apparently not going to get.
And the 3rd person mods are all basically junk. Sure, you can walk around but none I've seen do combat and even out of combat none are really very good in my opinion.
does that cheap shirt you got from a retailer give you any bonuses? no? didnt think so. but go to a speciality store and go buy some stab proofing and it MIGHT help. makes sense that a thrift shop shirt does nothing. think about it
thing is - beyond ones inventory screen - what is the point - one never sees it..
and yea i remember -my char on first few plays - ended up looking like some half-baked surfer/pimp wana be.. shorts, sandals, pimp coat, bike helmet.. ect
but - i'd only "see" it in a few menus.. Maybe the rare/odd cut scene - or if i looked down or something.
sure looked like a freak - but at least the rare/higher grade clothing had some well - point?
(should have just added a transmog or something
