Unreal Engine, Open world, 3rd Person. All bells and whistles with Cyberpsycho.
Yup, any man can dream.
No MTX, not gonna jinx it.
I wish another developer would take over for Cyberpunk 2. I don't want CDPR to do it. Or be involved in it in any way shape or form for that matter.
I would like new developers. Some one who knows how to make a good quality Cyberpunk game that does more than just look pretty. Some one knows how to actually code AI for the NPCs for just one example out of many, so that they are no longer just lifeless mannequin's standing around giving the illusion of being street vendors.
Also they purposely hired more people in order to work on Both Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2, they literally have two teams working on games now. 2077 team is moving on to the next Cyberpunk project.
Sure, you can go visit other places...hear gossip about Paris, London, Tokyo ect... But everything is kinda dependent on NC.
As much as I love playing as V... I don't want to do it in CP2.
Rather have the new game read your drive and ask 'which V did you play?' (If you have more than one) and apply that V's data to the game.
So what you did back then gets slipped into the game as hidden detes.
Which lifepath you chose, which ending you picked, there are hidden information you can find. Rumours about your old character.
Vague stuff like graffiti ('Where's V?' Or a Valentino painting near the Coyote Cojo bar.)
Shards, gossip overheard at the Afterlife ("Hey, you remember that Merc that came back from the dead? Whatever happens to her/him?")
Walking in districts, you could hear different gangoons talk about them if you did certain missions (in certain ways) Maelstrom guys could use V as a boogie man to new recruits (" Yo, stay away from the monks, or the ChromeKiller will sneak up on you, rip your eyes out!" lol)
Hope multiplayer is first of all, optional. Second, has both a 'co-op' and 'endless' version where you can team up with a choom or two to beat the main game, or go spend your life in the city (copy my character to a multiplayer save slot to play multiplayer section, appearance/class/clothing look ect copies over, but you get starter gear and starter edds to begin with)
100% we need 3rd person, no two ways about it.
Optional to play 1st or 3rd tho for folks.
I wana walk around the city, watch my character walk/jog/run here or there. Compare my look to the NPCs around me. Scope out new stuff on them I can buy at a store (or loot from a gangoons/corpo mook/dumpster lol after a fight)
Sit on a barstool and drink from a glass/eat actual food (even if it IS still made from cardboard and sawdust or Kibble lol) like a real person.
You misread. They're now ending development on CP 2077 to focus on the next CP game.
They could give us closure with V and see how it pans out though.
Choose to play on as V seeing as there are ambiguous meanings for the end if you don't get yourself killed in the story and or choose to partake the new story for #2 as a completely new original character.
Can totally be done. Kinda like how Baldurs Gate 3 allows you to play preset characters or make your original character. Depending on how your ending went or even if you still wanted to play as V regardless you can choose to carry on from certain endings that don't fully spoil the story of what happened in the background for V.
Just getting a second statement on this, they ARE making another Cyberpunk game with the (unofficial) plausible multiplayer but it'll be standalone and on the newer engine right?
I remember reading some articles stating that the devs were DONE with CBP2077 and were going to work on a new CBP game with the new engine yea?
I'm not going crazy am I?
It is EXACTLY like witcher 3. They said the same thing then made the 2 big expansions after they said no witcher DLC.
So there is a chance, really depends if they have the staff available.
Gabe Amatangelo has only just this week confirmed that what we have now is the last significant update. The core team for Cyberpunk 2077 are moving from Poland to the USA to begin the Boston Studio (including Gabe Amatangelo, who is leading on the game).
The rest of the studio not already working on the new Witcher trilogy are moving onto that. Decisions are already taken and things are moving.
Insted of listning to the "fans" who want it released yesterday, like they did with this game. I swear games dont know what they want... Damned if you do, damned if you dont.
Did you play Grim dawn ? That one you dont even win, you just survive.
