Question about chipware connoiseur
Can you take the perk, upgrade your cyberware, then refund it and keep the stat bonuses?

you can , but at higher levels it becomes a wasted perk since shops no longer sells the green cyberware for it to be a fun perk with different possibilities, the devs didnt test 2.0 properly to bring about a perk rework...

you can only have one upgrade from driver update / chipware connoisseur active at a time, so you don't really miss out on a whole lot besides some rng manipulation by taking the perk late game.
what I did was buy the next tier of cyberware until i hit tier 5. I ended up with a bunch of lower tier cyberware I could use to manipulate the rng in my playthrough because none of it was upgraded. pretty cool getting +3.4% melee damage on all your cyberware lol
