main questline bugged - waiting does not trigger quest

I'm currently on the quest "birds with broken wings" that has you wait 24 hours to receive a call but it doesn't trigger no matter how long i wait. i've tried restarting and nothing. This is the first major bug ive experienced in phantom liberty. anybody know a fix?

just do some other things gigs and such, try waiting again. there are many times even in the base game it says to wait 24 hours but it wont progress properly, maybe if you fast travel somewhere else, maybe if you do something else, they have always cleared eventually for me.

i did. i have completed all of mr hands' available gigs(at 8/10 rn). i've also fast traveled and drove around to see if it was just a delayed trigger

I had this exact thing happen to me, and I tried so many ways to fix it and couldn't.

THEN...

Since I could not progress, I began going back through my quest log, which was mostly cleaned out anyway, but after doing some side gigs etc, 1 specific quest was in there.

As I was walking in Dog Town, 2 guards called me over. 1 was beat up and he was worried the boss man was going to kill him. He then said he wont tell me his story unless I take a "Deep Dive" doing some drugs with him. At this point I got up and left because I don't want to take random drugs with some weird guard.

So I went back to complete this quest as I was like "Nothing else to do but drugs now that time has stopped..." and that quest takes you through the guys memories. When that was over, time returned to normal again for me.

Quest name I believe was "Balls To the Wall" If you don't have it, go find it and start and try that eitherway.

hmm yeah im only 5/10 for mr hands and I'm on the last step of that mission to go to farida's clinic. maybe try doing some other in progress quest you have in your journal that may be hanging it up?

Bummer. That bug is extremely frustrating. Maybe find another quest where time passes similar to that one which you haven't completed?

as far as the primary/side quests, i dont really have any as i already did them, pretty much all i have left are gigs(from the main game only)

So for this quest Has anyone found a way to work around this bug because it seems for some people they get the call after the 24 hours and some people don't for those that don't get the call after 24 hours so just myself. Is there any solution to this?

Did you try skipping time inside Dog town? Didn't seem to work outside of Dog town.

As per 1.63 and before experience, when you wait for a quest to trigger just wait 24 hours, then TRACK another gig/quest/job, after few minutes you get the wanted call. It's important to put on tracking something else, or it won't work

this worked! thank you so much. although it took much longer than a few minutes, probably an hour or so of doing missions

Glad it helped :) I played like 5 playthrough with 5 different V to see all the endings and i had the same issue lot of times :)

There's something strange I noticed during a mission in the restaurant with Captain Caliente
Map in (City of Dogs) Tab or Caps button was used to clear security, disconnected cables appeared, cables are still lit as if the task was not completed .
I have the same problem as you. I did everything to no avail .
Try it, maybe you'll find something I didn't know .
