Waiting for Dodger: How to complete without "killing" anyone?
I am doing the side gig "Waiting for Dodger" where you gotta get the two badges out of a NCPD precinct. The fiancè tells me to not kill any of them or Dodger is gonna be mad.
I think "Alright, non-lethal only".

I go through, leave the ones I can walking around, and only incapacitate the ones that I feel I have to.
Talk with Dodger at the ends, he checks their Biomons, his pal says "All flat-lined boss".

What? I literally only used non-lethal takedowns and quickhacks. On the upper floor are like 5 guys still walking around too. Wdym, "all flatlined".

I think "Alright maybe I gotta avoid them all". Not sure how thats supposed to be doable, especially when escorting Bill and Charlie and having to go through rooms with 3+ gonks in it, but maybe using distracting quickhacks its possible?

But nah, after sneaking into the elevator, I see the guy at the door. And I see no other way to get in but incapacitate him.

What am I supposed to do here? Is this a bug? Or what?

I don't understand how this mission works either, I literally did non-lethals to every single one of them but it counted them as dead. I just said ♥♥♥♥ it and rolled with it because it seems like more work than it's worth trying to not "kill" any of them. Dodger also laying dead, what's the worst that could happen?

A few missions later I got a msg from one of the cops and nothing bad seemed to come out of killing all of them, one of the cops even opened a hot dog stand

I'm gonna kill Dodger, the guy is a piece of ♥♥♥♥ it seems anyways. Would find it fun to go out of my way to spare his guys and then kill everyone after Bill and Charlie left lol.
I like side-objectives like going non-lethal and the dialogue following because of it, so I hate when it doesn't work.

hopefully it gets fixed or someone can tell me what the hell youre supposed to do here

I was really curious what would have happened if the game recognised they were just knocked out.. normally I would just kill them all anyway, but the one time I take my time to knock them out, it didn't even seem to matter. So that's why I just said "♥♥♥♥ it", and killed Dodger.

if you put them in those conatiners/boxes they die - on my screen it says (lethal).
I knocked them out and left them there on the floor;
in the dialogue, they checked their vitals and said something like "all green, boss" and he let the cops go; said the story is funnier than the worth of the drugs. or it could be one of the quickhacks, bug idk - but the outcome for nonlethal is there

Please remind me, which one is this gig? I vaguely recall one where no killing was a rule where it was in some prison camp in the Badlands but that's it

Ohh, I think I left everyone lying down but I might not have with the guy in front of the door because it was right next to him and I didn't think about it. That would make sense. I'm gonna try it again and see if it works. If yes I probably put someone, most likely the door guy, in a box without thinking what it does.

Yep, that mustve been it. I made sure to put no one in boxes and they said all vitals are green. I rarely have to spare people and often dont see the reason to, so putting the door guy into the box just was so natural I didnt even think about it haha, Thanks guys, issue cleared up

I just used a baseball bat with one mod slot and put a NONLETHAL mod in that slot ... kicked all enemies with that and it worked ... don't put ANY in a container

when the two cops left and I got the call all is okay, mission success !
That mafia boss wanted to get in his car ... but I killed him with a headshot :steammocking:
and his bodyguards ...

anyone got also after that the mssion to come to Bills restaurant opening !

But they are locked in their shop without energy ... misson is telling me to talk with bill, but not able to talk through the closed door with him ? So maybe I fu the following mission because killed that boss before

interestingly i didnt put anyone in a box and used all non-lethal takedowns and the system shut down quick hack 2 times (should also be non lethal) but in the end the minion found no one alive

Game is just buggy sometimes.
I did the monk one and he said I killed people, reloaded and did it the exact same way and it was fine.

Game is just buggy sometimes.
I did the monk one and he said I killed people, reloaded and did it the exact same way and it was fine.
I used the baseball bat that you get from that music chick. Two hits. Then if they are moving, save. Then find the next target. it is possible to do every single cop, in the same way and keep them alive.

This was the part of the update that really irked me. I get that some containers aren't safe for human bodies in the long term, but crates and empty dumpsters?

Yeah, making all of them lethal is a weird choice. Why are people wanting to play non-lethal suddenly punished for no reason?
