How much old main missions should you do?

How far into the older story should we go before we ruin any new ending in phantom liberty or should just by pass quests takemura?

Do all the Evelyn Parker stuff.

My understanding is that Phantom comes after the Voodoo Boys main story jobs. I plan to do the first Panam job (Ghost Town and etc.) and the first Judy/Evelyn job (Automatic Love) before heading to Pacifica, in that order. This is not to mention lots of Police Scanner jobs to level up some. I have no idea what to expect in Phantom and I don't want to be underpowered going in.
