RTX 4070 Ti discussion
Does 4070 Ti can run ray tracing overdrive 60fps on 1440p? I want buy 4070 Ti but confused with 4070 Ti performance. Today I use 3080

Perhaps depends on the settings. DLSS is a must, but even then I wouldn't count on stable 60 frames at all times. My 4080 has moments where it reaches almost 100% usage and the frames are exactly at 60-63, so really only 4090 is capable of truly smooth experience in this regard.

Do you play on 4K? I just play on 1440p
This make me confused better upgrade to 4080 or 4070 Ti because the price far from 4070 Ti, yeah 4080 too expensive but winter 2024 4080 Ti will release.
I saw on Youtube, 4080 can run 70-80fps RT overdrive + dlss quality, if use FG can run over 80fps on 4K.

What you feel when use FG? the image movement stutter or delay like over 10ms monitor? or feel same like use dlss 2?

I do play at 1440p. There are locations where the 4080 can reach even over 120 frames, but there are locations where you can only reach 60. Technically the 4070 ti might be enough to enjoy the game, but in the end you won't have 60 stable fps everywhere.

As for frame generation, I don't quite feel the input lag. It's probably there, but the enemy AI moves in similar patterns all the time, so if you get used to it, it shouldn't be a problem even if it's there.

Thanks man, I think 4070 Ti are worth it to buy for 1440p, yeah 4080 too overprice and FG technology much interested.

I have the 4070ti i can i say that its worth getting. DLSS FG you can feel the input lag but as time goes on it wont be so noticeable. 4080 is far too expensive and not really worth it tho.

As long as you use DLSS FG, you will be fine. From what I've seen, the Path Tracing option for RT is also super demanding. Disabling that doesn't visually change all that much, from what I can tell.
I'm running a 4080 on 1440p, max settings with the exception of the path tracing option I mentioned + DLSS FG. Never really noticed it dip below 120 FPS. Path tracing drops it another 20-30 FPS or so.
DLSS FG input lag is noticeable at first, but I quickly got used to it, as this is not really a game that requires pin-point accuracy.

A fps with input lag is a horrible experience...

It is not nearly as noticeable as you would expect, when hearing that. Not a bit worse than playing call of duty on a controller.

Agreed 4080 too expensive and not worth it, you know GPU price after one years the price will drop 40%.
I play PS5 with performance mode 60fps on 4K TV, I think input lag in console not better than 4070 Ti with FG.
Yeah after I watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFpx7uuAS40&lc=Ugz2ZzVd8TZ2IyVdO494AaABAg.9qTs4VAF3pf9qUzCJunnvQ FG much better if 60fps use reflex low latency on.
My planning just buy 4070 Ti and PS5 Pro. I'm done play with PC, the price going expensive and not worth it.
In the future I just play online games on PC. And play on console for single players games.

AMD will show the power gpu on PS5 PRO in 2024 with RDNA 4. I think ray tracing will be stable and FSR going better than DLSS 3.
I know after I watch from Digital Foundry, many artifact graphics with FG on but just little. I think not affect in gameplay, because human eye hard to seem with fast movement
But yeah I don't want change my mind to buy 4080, I fix buy 4070 Ti. But in my country just have PNY, Palit and Colorful. what third brand are good?

Path tracing like demo graphics technology for now sponsored by Nvidia, my target just RT Ultra.
And do you try The Witcher 3 with RT ultra+ what happen in big city with many NPC? this make me confused about 4070 Ti performance, but I think this card can run 60-70fps with RT Ultra+

I skip buy 4080 because too expensive and my target just 60fps is enough for me in 1440p.
And make me worry about second hand price.
But yeah 4070 Ti is the first time 70 series have super power GPU, not like 870, 1070 Ti, 2070 Ti or 3070 Ti.
4070 Ti is the new class for 70 series in 4000 series.

I can't say much about the Witcher 3 as I've not progressed in the game enough to have visited any large cities. The few minutes I spent wandering through forests, I was seeing anything between 100 - 144 FPS without Frame Generation and with Hairworks maxed.
If you're planning an upgrade, don't forget about the importance of the CPU as well. Realistically, you'll get the best idea if you just look up benchmark videos for your specific CPU + the GPU you're considering. The 4070Ti, in theory, should be able to run pretty much anything close to maxed or maxed on 1440p, if paired with a capable CPU. Especially if frame generation is involved.

Wow that's amazing performance, I use i9 9900K 32GB ram. I think this enough for games now until 2024 do not upgrade the CPU.
Yeah my list MSI 4070 Ti 3x Ventus. Next week I buy this card

I saw this video, he compared with 4080 and 4090 on 4K and 1440p. He compared performance with the price. 4080 not much different for 1440p with 4070 Ti, because 4070 Ti is same like 3090 Ti, but if FG on much faster 4070 Ti then 3090 Ti.

I'm running on an i7 13700KF with DDR5, for reference.

For 1440p yes the RTX 4070ti can run anything. Honestly if you are not playing competitively like PVP games, FG enabled doesnt really affect much. For cyberpunk its best to play with ray tracing overdrive mode to experience the best graphics it can offer. When RTX 50XX release, the price will come down a bit next year hopefully.

I run rtx 4070ti with ryzen r5 7600x

If you want to play ultra with path tracing at 1440p youll get like 40 fps native.
Dlss quatity makes it 60+ all the time.
With dlss3 + frame gen stable 120

At 1080p you can plau ultra + raytracing on native with 60 all the time.
