Old saves not loading after update - new game working and new game saves working
Has anyone else had issues with their old playthrough not loading after the update?

I tested starting a new playthrough, and it is working fine and the saves for the new playthrough are loading.

If anyone knows of a fix or has encountered this, that would be really helpful... would hate to lose all of my progress.

There's no fix for the old saves, too much changed in the game for the old save to boot up with all the new content that was put in the game and becomes corrupted, so your forced to restart a new game.

Working for me so far although I am making it a habit not using steam cloud for saves... Got burned with those in another game.

Hey, thanks for replying..... so my save I am wanting to load from is from April 10th, downloaded the update on April 11th (automatically on Steam).

Is it possible they will release a hotfix for old saves to be compatible with this new update or is this a common thing when Cyberpunk updates?

seems to be only auto saves that don't work at least for me. As i've done some manual saves during my playthrough does actually work. Always do manual saves at least once i a while

Hey thanks, looks like manual saves are not working either. Oh well, new playthrough it is!

i have saves from august 2022 and they load just fine.
