Thank you CDPR ! (from a lowly RX 6800 peasant)
As the title says thanks CDPR you made me download 19.5 Gb of data for the low low price of breaking my game and for a function that i cannot use... Well guess i won't be buying phantom liberty...

update works on my 6900xt card though performance is horrible. treat it as it is ( a tech preview)

A tech preview should have been in a beta branch and never released on the main branch !

seriously, this is something which 90% of the players wont even be able to use what a waste. this should have been an optional update.

Tried to run the overdrive mode with RX 6950XT. It works albeit very slow. I'm fine since this is expected, and I can just play the game without the overdrive.

The 6950 XT can actually run this game 25 fps over drive and 8k res. Tried it with FSR on lol but never expect higher than 25 fps.

About to see what this is all about soon as it updates. Over drive has always been available for AMD, so I'm assuming path tracing isn't though? Some said it is but I think they're mistaking it for just over drive.

Well got it to work...

So, Path tracing is on.. the whole game set as high as it goes, no FSR... 15 FPS at 3440x1440 lmao and it looks.... LOVELY

not..

It literally looks hardly any different than regular RT being on alone.

I'm not sure what you're referring to but the new pathtracing feature is called RT Overdrive in the game.

Yeah mostly if you're sitting still or taking pics.. that's about the only time it looks different. Idk...
