I can run RT overdrive. There's 2 settings that work for me:
1) At 1080p/60 fps: High graphical preset, DLSS set to performance.
2) At 1440p/30 fps High graphical preset, DLSS set to quality.
Both stay pretty much locked at their framerate but 4K is off the table even with DLSS set to ultra performance.
Oh yes, it transforms the game. Especially the look of the NPCs, that stands out most for me.
The downside is the clear drop in fidelity down from 4K. I'm on a 65" LG C1 OLED so I used to play 4K max settings with DLSS set to balanced and RT off. I've lost that crisp look but the insane lighting is worth it for me.
Personally, yes. I've been playing the game for over 500 hours with Psycho RTX with everything else maxed out, so I know the game visually by heart and the differences with Overdrive was instantly obvious and enormous in terms of lighting quality.
Made my jaw drop how gorgeous it looks.
So many shadows everywhere outside during the day now.
It's stunning, isn't it?
- Original Poster: using a 10GB 3080 myself (OC'd, paired with a 5700x, installed on a gen4 nvme), 1440p balanced mode, high settings (vol fog med, vol clouds med) gets me 40-55fps thus far.
