Why does Edgerunners have to be trash?

You are not going to find much agreement here, my brother. The show was loved by almost everyone. I personally don't think it was trash but it was a 5 out of 10 for me. I know people love that CGI animation stuff but I do not like it. And the story was extremely predictable. Plus the loli was disturbing to me as they always are.

Im not a HUGE anime fan, but I actually like the animation from the show... One of the things I actually thought it had going for it

It was an okay show, nothing special tbh and way to short to get any attechment to it, unless it was your first anime that is, and it sure does looks like it was for many.

Its a shame that the Main character also was the - by far - biggest weakpoint in that anime, like quite littery a stupid af person.

That’s the hottest take I’ve seen on this platform. And when I say hot, it’s like a hot turd in the sun of Santa Monica.

Edgerunners has plenty to be excited about, if your gonna critique something, find both good and bad things to say. While I agree that the show was very short, it’s impressive that it makes such memorable characters in such little time. I loved David’s arc into madness and his return from it, his relationship with Lucy is adorable and sad, kiwis arc is AMAZING, I didn’t think they’d redeem her for me, and everyone else is either a fun villain or a hilarious member of the crew.

The visuals are incredible, which shouldn’t be a surprise from the people who made kill la kill and darling in the Franx. Look if BNA had to have a less interesting plot for trigger to learn how to draw city atmospheres in the cyberpunk genre, the. I’ll allow it, because edgerunners is GOREGOUS. Every frame of this anime screams night city in your face, making fans who have played the game feel like their actually there.

The music is phenomenal, and while it was cut right from an already existing soundtrack, the tracks they do you are perfect for David and the gang. I will follow and Friday night fire fight are perfect for montage and action scenes, let you down is an amazing emotional track, and good GOD when I heard cyberwildlife park, my all time favourite combat track from the game, I lost my ♥♥♥♥. And then there’s I really wanna stay at your house, which needs no explanation about why it’s music genius.

There’s plenty to love in edgerunners, and while you are entitled to your own opinion, calling the anime trash without backing your claim up is a great way to look stupid.

You guys do bring up good points yeah. The plot was a bit predictable at times yes. But the way it was executed with amazing visuals and kickass fight scenes made it all the more exciting when in motion.

And yeah the Loli was disturbing, but considering nearly every other female In This show had a nude scene (which is ALSO a problem but not really when there’s only two other females and there both netrunners who need to be naked to acsess cyberspace), it was nice that they DIDNT do anything insanely lewd with rebecca outside of a few ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up shots.

Anime isn’t for everyone, hell I only got into it because of studio trigger, but to critique it you should maybe dig deeper than “story predictable” and “loli bad”. Both of which I agree with, but you didn’t give any proof to back your claims.

That’s fair. I’ve seen the show three times now, maybe I’ll give it a fourth and come at it from a different angle to see flaws. I watched edgerunners after finishing the game once, I. Which I got the ending where you surrender your soul to Arasaka (which is my lick for the worst ending) the. I watched the show and loved it. Then I found out that by not giving Jackie’s body to the family he met a similar fate to David. Then I got the much better endings. If I were to be asked if the anime or game had a better plot, then I’d say the game does, but I still really enjoy the anime.
