Male or Female V . Which do you prefer and why?

1st run so far female pretty good voice actor so havnt done male character yet probably will when 2.0 happens

Best V is female V, but that's just me. It's subjective, like most things in life. Just play what you like to play.

Having multiple Playthroughs with V as Female and Male I'd say I lean more towards the Male VA.

Female V sounds fantastic especially at high stake moments and in general sounds more tough and mean. While she is absolutely phenomenal I feel like sometimes it's a tad too much overplayed. Like certain moments where you just need to hit a 10 she overshoots to a 12 or so. Some find that very refreshing and I can see how that leads to more emotion but on the otherhand male V sounds more suble almost boring but he hits the 10 mark where it needs to be and doesn't go overboard.

In short Female V is more a range of emotions ( maybe sometimes too much) and Male V for overall consistency and a smooth ride all the way til the end.

yeah i think that happens too much lately where i want to play male but the voice actors sounds bored like say like Valhalla avior but there games like mass effect both normal an Andromeda good male voice actors

Unlike AC: Odyssey, the female voice acting in this game is better. Also when your character gets shot, or hurt, etc... I don't want to hear a guy moaning in my ear all the time. Also if I play in 3rd person, I have to consider whose ass I will be looking at during my playthrough

agreed Melissanthi Mahut needs to do more voice acting her voice reminds me of another voice actor used do ton stuff

I don't understand why people keep applauding Female V's voice acting. I find her to be completely irritating. Most of her dialogue she either sounds like a smug ♥♥♥♥♥ I want to punch, or a whiny ♥♥♥♥♥ I want to punch.
Hype backlash, combined with a lot of Fem V fans dissing Male V's performance (which I personally believe is good at worst) didn't help my opinion at all.

It fits the Cyberpunk universe. Expecially considering that V early game is an idiot.

Male cause I always do my main/first playthrough as myself, or someone as close to me as possible. In the world of Night City, I would totally want the Strength/Gorilla cybernetics and achieve my idea of physical perfection.

And also because Panam is hot.

Female voice actor being better being the main reason alot of chosing female is surprising to me. She sounds way too much like Ashley Johnson's Ellie from last of us to me, pulls me out almost immediately. She sounds like a tough little girl instead of a grown women who's been through alot.

Hopefully in the expansion she will do a better job.

Female because she seems to convey more emotion and because Judy because otherwise youre locked out of that romance option with male V.
