Car mechanics and engine sound

We all know that the car mechanics arent that great but I never heard someone talking about the sound of the engine of the cars.

Im driving most of the time a Caliburn and the sound almost hurts and I'm not joking. Is it only me? I mean the game itself is wonderful but the engine sound..

Is this only me or is it something what we should ask?

The Caliburn is one of my least favourite cars particularly because of the engine noise. Most of the Quadras are bad that way.

Imo all car sounds are disappointing tbh.

I think all the type 66's sound great tbh, and the little mule as well. The most disappointing car sound to me is V's starter car.

Its not just you. The game is programmed with the wrong gears for accelerating in a way.

A cars engine will go from 1k - redline, then in 2nd gear will go to 6k - redline, then 3rd is 6.5k - redline, so on so forth.

This game is instead programmed incorrectly like 1k - redline, 2nd gear is 1k - redline, 3rd is 1k - redline, etc

and this is all vehicles btw, Id rather hear the droning CVT than these wackass gears.

I've seen countless of complaints about how some cars sound at max speed when the game originally released and years later as well, so it's not just you. V's Nomad Galena Thorton at full speed sounds really bad if I remember correctly, because it's just one continuous high pitch sound without any variation in it.

Because of this I end up constantly adding and releasing gas to avoid hearing it, but yes it's an issue. Bikes on the other hand don't really suffer from this too much.

Also as you said in another thread: We are going to drive more so it has to be fixed. Or maybe they will surprise us indeed by fixing it without communicating about it.

you understand the game takes place in the future and that can easily be explained away by "future gearboxes work differently" people have mechanical bodies in this game man, you're complaining about the gearbox of a car?
