some info regarding skippy

so yeah considering its literally the best weapon in the game, some might find this relevant.
(lets ignore tech sniper rifles)

so i played on very hard, collected skippy, chose "peace loving pacifist" and conducted headshots by shooting them point blank while invisible. sounded logical to kill them faster.

after 50 kills, skippy told me that it changes from stone cold killer to peace loving pacifist.
sadness !!

apparently whats important is wether you kill enemies with headshots or leg shots, that would also explain why it might take more than 50 kills for skippy to attempt changing the mode. my theory is that whatever reaches 50 first decides which mode he will change to.

and yes skippy was autoaiming onto the legs after i chose peace loving pacifist and skippy was autoaiming onto the legs after he told me that he changed to peace loving pacifist.

Yes, skippy is a troll, he switches after 50 kills to whatever you chose. So choose pacifist if you want headshots eventually.

not during the main campaign, but once maxed after putting points into the rank 20 cold blood perk and putting points into the rank 20 handgun perk.

more of an overpowered for dlc fun thing. of course without playing on VH it makes no difference anyway.

@dex: you misunderstood. i chose pacifist and skippy then "changed" to pacifist. he told me that he changed from cold blooded killer to peace loving pacifist, despite me not having chosen cold blooded killer and cold blooded killer not being active as he would aim at legs if far enough away.

Interesting, he must be programmed to switch on the kill type regardless of what you chose maybe? I wonder if you could switch from cold blooded killer to cold blooded killer if you killed 50 people with leg shots lol

You must have done something wrong. Skippy always reverts to the one you did not choose. No matter what or who you shoot.

Either that or a bug or a mod that broke it.

You have to troll Skippy in kind, then he switches to opposite. I think I said "i am not talking to a peace of iron". Skippy: 'user input received, changing to stone cold killer".

BTW, bringing it to Regina is not advisable. Measly 12K she gives for it is not nearly enough. I think by that time i had 700K.

Yeah it's not based on what you choose at the start but based on how you defeat enemies with it.

Choosing Stone Cold Killer and then equipping the Target Analysis mod will make him lock into Stone Cold Killer after knocking out 50 people. Or as you discovered choosing Pacifist but killing the enemies anyway will lock you into Pacifist.

Skippy really is quite useless even compared to Genjiroh. Very far from "the best weapon in the game".

They said they nerfed it but I don't the the nerf rendered it unless, just not as OP as it was. They also nerfed maximum ammo, which probably was the real problem with it. Lot.of ammo and homing bullets.

when skippy asked me why i use pacifist instead of killer i replyed 'because killing is wrong' and the gun stayed in pacifist mode. fyi if you want to keep skippy after it discovers regina is its owner, you can say youre keeping it to lose the quest symbol and drop the gun from inv before you place it on the box for regina.

It IS based on kill count, the PAX mod or Target Analyzing mod simply PAUSE the kill count!
