The higher requirements are for the next big update that will come out before the dlc. It changes several systems in the base game. I haven't seen anything specific on why the specs will be higher but the base games specs will go up not just the dlc specs.
It's a DLC with a stand alone (ish) story, like the large The Witcher DLCs, if you will.
You still have Johnny in your head (part of the main story) and the base game will receive a large free update in the release date of the DLC to update and upgrade a lot of systems. Also, you can either use whatever you acquired in the main story here and whatever you get here in the rest of the main story, so it's not really stand one in a sense that it's a separate story in a separate scenario.
@Gaius I understood, I initially thought that the choices from the main game did not affect anything, and the DLC was created as a separate game. It turns out that I can now go through cyberpunk 100% to prepare for the release of DLC?
You can fine-tune settings in Cyberpunk 2077's menu.
No......you need the base game to play the expansion.
The expansion also is supposed to add a new ending to the main game.
Physical copies that came from GAME have a GOG code which you can activate. So i guess check again for that code or your GOG account, maybe you already did it. So then you should be able to buy Phantom Liberty directly on GOG.
Ye I just checked from my physical card which has the code for the original Cyberpunk 2077 PC game which I redeemed on GoG Galaxy it seems as when I tried it on GoG.com it's saying it's being used. I don't know why GoG.com & Galaxy aren't syncd. I have had this prob for years now but up until now I never needed it addressed so urgently. It's especially frustrating because the forums feel very empty and I am unable to create any posts as I'm not high enough rank yet.
I have tried contacting both GoG and CDPR but waiting for a reply.
TY anyway for your response.
So you're saying if you open this page and try to buy it directly they don't let you? https://www.gog.com/game/cyberpunk_2077_phantom_liberty
Oh I also found something that may help you
Another one:
I was OVERWHELMED by your incredibly helpful advice here mate but for some reason all of a sudden the purchase of Phantom Liberty worked via GoG Galaxy App. Through that app it DID detect I had Cyberpunk 2077 yet for some reason GoG.com is still insisting I'm a liar lol. Anyway I'm waiting for my emails to get the receipt (got the official GoG Galaxy account receipt np). I feel bad now because my problem queries are still open for both GoG and CDPR. I hate wasting people's time but this was convoluted.
Thank you once again. I will DEFO screen cap and keep this comment for the future incase it happens for any other games.
Have a GREAT time in Liberty City.
*prays I can run it: Min Specs say my comp won't handle it so pray for me lol
Glad it worked out. For your safety, keep your limbs inside the vehicle at all times while driving around in Pacifica!
